Best brush for my sensitive toy poodles
I used to use a long pin slicker brush on my 2 toy poodle girls and they hated being brushed. I read the reviews on this one and decided to give it a try (very reasonable price) and my girls love it! They don’t hate being brushed (as much – they still aren’t crazy about it) and they actually let me get through their curly hair, that gets tangled very easily. I can easily keep up with their maintenance so they don’t get matted and it actually takes me less time overall compared to the other brush I used to use.I brought both of my brushes to a groomer for her opinion and she said to use this one over the other. So, this is a win. Highly recommend.I only wish it came in a smaller size for toy breeds so I could more easily get under their legs and in harder to reach areas.

Not good for use on a cat due to size
This is a nice enough brush, however, it is too large for a cat. I should have paid more attention to the size of the brush. It needs to be about half the size that it is to work on a cat, it is extremely awkward to use. I feel it should be advertised as a dog brush only.

Works amazing on my Shih Tzu
I brush my Shih tzu daily but she seems to get so knotty, I wanted a slicker brush to smooth her coat that a brush just doesn’t do. I have tried different ones but they always pulled her hair and made her uncomfortable. After seeing reviews on this wahl brush I decided to try…so glad I did. No more pulling and she falls asleep while I brush her. Love it. Will never buy another brand.

I have a mini Aussie/bison and this brush is great for getting to the under coat. My dog does not mind being brushed with this brush. It is sturdy and comfortable in my hand

Best Slicker brush I’ve ever used
This is a great Slicker brush it has protective tips at the end of each wire and the way it’s shaped it just Glides through the coat of my Siberian cat with a triple coat I come through first with their shedding rake that’s also awesome it’s a double row and the pin spin great for large dogs and I use it on my cat then I used the slicker works beautifully

Good for fluffing, a bit soft for tangles
Pro groomer. Initially bought this for my bather when looking for a little softer slicker for her to use as I like a firmer brush (I’m pretty light handed and firmer bristles suit my brushing pressure and technique). Ended up getting one for myself as well, though it’s definitely not my go-to brush. It’s quite soft and will not scratch up the dog. It fluffs REALLY well (which is why I got myself one) and is great for poodles, bichons, and doodles with a more poodly coat who are kept short. Not great for detangling tho as the bristles are short and just a bit too soft to work the tangles out very effectively which is why I’d recommend it be used on dogs that are kept short

This brush arrived today and is unfit for purpose. The outside pins have no safety tops and they are just sharp scratchy metal that would damage the skin. Some pins are missing or bent. This is not a premium brush it is really poor quality made in China . I thought Wahl were a good make and I was getting a bargain. I’ve read other reviews and can’t believe they are reviewing the same brush. Just a waste of time travelling to the post office to return it.
