The comb allows for fine combing and grabs excess hair and fleas. It’s easy to handle and the cats seem to like the feel of it. It’s a good value and I like the color. The handle is not too small. Wish I didn’t have a need to use it!

My dog had a bad flea problem. I purchased the correct flea drops for him per or vet. The I purchased a new bed. Most importantly, we started using this comb every morning and every night. We are very close to being rid of fleas! This comb is easy to use and it is getting the last of the fleas!

I have these around the house … excellent quality, comfortable to use.
After fostering a flea ridden dog for my local animal control (they never checked for fleas before dropping him off), I wound up with a flea infestation in my basement, where I gave the dog a bath, and where I have two feral cats on the road to taming. Both came down with severe reactions to the fleas and multiple trips to the vet. Enter this flea comb. I’m treating my cats regularly with flea prevention applications and using these flea combs on them. They actually love them, and I love the comfort and ease of using them. Great for arthritic fingers, easy to hold, unlike some of the small handleless ones. I’ve even given one to a neighbor who also has cats. Great product and very reasonably prices.

Caught my first flea with one swipe
My baby kitten was rescued when she was 4w. Too small to give any chemicals. I flea bathed her instead. We drowned out what we could and I brushed her daily with this comb as she ate her food. We caught the first flea the very first time I combed her. I made sure we combed her belly as well as her legs. With the use of this comb and bathing we successfully eradicated an entire flea infestation this poor baby was covered in. I now use the comb to check my animals for fleas. If I see dirt or fleas this comb will warn me. It’s also easy to clean the fleas. You can gather a small jar deep enough to fill with hot soapy water to dip and swish the comb in or use rubbing alcohol to wipe and kill the fleas from the comb. My fur babies are indoors so we don’t usually have fleas. However, they do come in contact with my daughter’s dog so this comb is an important tool to have on hand. I feel as the quality of this comb is made to last. The plastic is thick and the grip is comfortable.

Doesn’t work They changed something about it
I purchased this two pack of flea combs a couple of months ago I believe in April, when my dog had fleas. The ones I received had blue handles, were very, very sturdy, I was able to comb my cat and my dog with ease. The original ones I bought, went through the hair and actually took off the fleas. ***Something however, has changed with the same company as i re-ordered directly from my previous order and received the same Flea comb with a different colored handle. I don’t care about the color of the handle but when I went to use them after my dog got fleas again in August due to some stray cats outside leaving fleas in the grass.When I went to use these new ones from the same distributor/seller, not one flea could be caught (I saw them with my eyes & had to pick them out & use a different comb I had) even though they look identical. I had to hand pick them off, because this comb is made absolutely differently than they used to be made. They used to be great and now they are not. It does have durable, thick, metal prong, but it does not take out one flea unfortunately. The prior model that they had that looked identical to this went through their coat very easily, and pulled out every flea. THIS SAME PRODUCT AND SELLER CHANGED HOW THEY MANUFACTURED THEM, leaving them utterly useless sadlyI hope the original two that I had bought with the blue handle turn up because they were good (somewhere lost/misplaced in the house).These work better as a brush.
