Tough Yet Comfy
I picked up the Maimindasi Orthopedic Dog Bed for Carol’s dog, Melvin. He needed a bed that could handle some chewing and still be soft enough for his older joints.This bed really does the trick. It’s chew-proof and has withstood Melvin’s occasional gnawing without any damage. It’s also waterproof and scratch-resistant, which means it’s easy for Carol to keep clean.The best part is the memory foam. It provides excellent support for Melvin, helping him get comfortable and rest well. He loved the bed from day one and spends most of his time lounging on it.Carol and I are both impressed with the bed’s durability and comfort. It’s perfect for older dogs or those with a habit of chewing.

my dogs had a hole chewed in the bed within 24 hours. So if you are looking for something your dog will have a hard time destroying this is NOT the dog bed for you. If you have older dogs who don’t chew, this would be a good choice. Again NOT INDESTRUCTIBLE LIKE THE FIRST WORD IN THE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION SAYS. Very disappointed.

Dogs love it.
I needed a bullet proof dog bed as one of mine likes to dig before resting in it. Other’s I’ve bought just didn’t last long, ripped up and losing all its stuffing and just throwing it in the trash. So far, it has been a couple of weeks, and it’s held up with no tears or rips. Installation of the dog bed was quite easy, and the cover is washable, which I have not tried yet. I’m impressed and would highly recommend.Update. Well, the dog bed gave in. Our dog ripped it apart. On to the next one

Not very thick, but not completely flat
This bed isn’t quite as thick as I’d hoped it would be. It’s not totally flat either. Compared to the more expensive, truly orthopedic, dog bed I have from the pet store I think this one is definitely less supportive. It’s a typical lower midrange bed and I think the price reflects that. The egg crate style foam flattens easily and doesn’t offer much support for my 75lb dog. I wouldn’t use this on its own as the only bed for my dog. I also wouldn’t use this for larger dogs, elderly dogs, or those with hip or other health issues. I would think they would need more support than this bed offers. Personally, I don’t see any “memory foam” features in this bed, maybe they’re just giving that label to the egg crate foam pad. Orthopedic is also a loosely used term and not really regulated. The foam in this bed seems less dense than what I would expect from what I would consider truly orthopedic. I did allow the foam over 24 hours to fully expand after having been vacuum sealed. The cover seems waterproof. It’s light color shows every bit of dirty but easily wipes clean. If you have a small to medium size dog weighing less than 50lbs or so, I think this bed might be ok for them. Or you could use it as I am. I’m using this on top of my dog’s elevated bed to add a layer of cushion. He seems to like it and it fits on there perfectly.

As soon as my 90 LB German Shelard got this bed, she ditched her old bed immediately lol! It’s anti scratch and pretty firm, I can see that my dog really like her new bed.

Not Bad, but Not Great…
This is a pretty simple pet bed: foam and a removable cover. The foam comes vacuum packaged and compressed very tightly, but fluffed up as soon as I opened the plastic it is sealed in. It is just basic white foam egg crate and I don’t see any sort of other foam types in it, neither do I really feel any sort of memory foam “feel” to it.The cover isn’t terribly soft, but it does seem like it is washable which is a plus for the light grey color that is sure to get dirty quickly. This XL size is a pretty decent size and my dogs were interested in testing it out right away. I feel like this will offer decent support for dogs under 50lbs, but I think the foam will compress too much for any heavier of a dog than that.The test dogs were two Border Collies, one about 35lbs and the other closer to 50lbs. They’re both getting into “senior” status, and I was hoping that this would provide the support their joints need. My lighter one didn’t sink in much, but my bigger guy sank pretty deep in a bed marketed as “orthopedic” for big dogs.Overall, the size is perfect, but I feel the foam could be greatly improved to provide support for medium-large dogs.
