What is Catnip, and How Does It Work? Also known as cat weed or cat mint, catnip is the magical herb that turns your kitty into a playful, wacky ball of energy. Freshness is key, just like any good herb. Catnip comes from the mint family and is 100% safe, natural, and feline-approved. Whether it’s dried or fresh, your cat will love it either way! Simply sprinkle some on the floor, in a toy, or on a dish – your cat will take it from there. Most cats love to sniff, roll, and play in it, while others may even munch on it. No worries – both reactions are totally normal and safe! What Does Catnip Do to Cats? The magic of catnip lies in its active ingredient, Nepetalactone. When sniffed, it acts as a natural stimulant, creating a “high” and even hallucinogenic effects. In simple terms, catnip can make your feline go wild – jumping, rolling, pouncing, and flipping like they’ve discovered their new favorite thing! My Cat Doesn’t Respond to Catnip – Why? Not every kitty feels the magic of catnip. About 70-75% of cats inherit the “catnip gene,” making them crave it. If your cat doesn’t respond, don’t worry -it’s normal, especially for kittens under six months. Give little Mr. Cat Damon a few months to mature before introducing him to the ‘nip life. Are There Catnip Alternatives? Absolutely! For cats who don’t vibe with traditional catnip, try blends of catnip and valerian root or catnip and silvervine. Both valerian root and silvervine work similarly to catnip but can appeal to cats who typically aren’t interested. These natural alternatives give every feline a chance to experience their own “purr-fectly” chill playtime!

Fun Play Toys For Cats
These are the cutest items ever for your cats. They’re small enough for the cats to bat it around and chase, but large enough that you can still find them hidden under couches. My two cats are really, really liking the hypnotic effect that the catnip gives them. They know something’s up, just not sure why. These are cleverly designed cat nip toys, sure to please as presents and gifts to your cat loving friends.

Cute cat toys but not much interest
Cute design and packaging/labeling, however; more attractive to people than to cats. Only a small amount of catnip inside. Normally my cats tear apart anything with catnip inside, but this time they looked and sniffed then walked away. Not recommended unless you have used this cat toy brand previously with your cats with success.

Cute, good size
This review is for the “LIT LABS Kittie Doobs Adventure Toys – Funny Catnip Joints for Cats with Dried and Organic High Potency Catnip – Love Theme.”The toys themselves are a cute and humorous design. The material feels decent. The scent of catnip seemed to be at least somewhat noticed by the cat when first given, but he soon lost interest and doesn’t seem to care to play with them within a week. There is a plastic tab that sticks out from the toys that needs cut off if you don’t want to risk it poking your cat’s mouth, it’s from the packaging that holds them onto the backing. That seems unnecessary and like it could have been done differently, but it is easy to trim. These aren’t small enough that you’d worry about a cat swallowing them somehow, but they aren’t overly large either.

The faces!
These are great silly cat toys. They’re made of sort of a velvety fabric and feel firm and like they’re stuffed with dried catnip. They also have a little crinkle to them. Our cats enjoy them and none have been destroyed so they seem pretty durable. The idea is funny but the facial expressions on them are what get me. Oh my gosh. Our little cat was up all night, the first night, with his, so I think the quality is good. He kept returning to it, napping, then going back.I managed to get some pictures and they’re ridiculous. These seem to be quality toys and for us, the entertainment value was priceless.

Kitties best friend!
My kitties love these and I think they are hilarious! My kitties love the catnip stuffed inside and have been rolling around with them all night! Overall they seem put together pretty well and I have highhh hopes they’ll last awhile!

These are adorable.
Everything about these is funny. The idea of having these in our cats’ mouths is funny to me. They are exactly what they say they are.The cats did not at first react to them, but it was not an ideal time to present them. Also, our cats aren’t the biggest fans of catnip. It doesn’t do much to them. Maybe at first, it does, but then the effect goes away after a day or two, and they lose interest in the toy altogether. I have a feeling they will warm up these eventually.

Solid toys, very little catnip
Perfect size for most catsThese are well built, however there was almost no noticeable catnip smell, which was quite disappointing, considering the theme. Add more catnip and these could be a winner.
