used this before
This cat litter works well for my large cat. It clumps well and makes litterbox cleaning a little easier and quick. I bought my first container on Amazon and have reordered it.

Easy to use
Lighter than regular litter. Clumps without sticking to the litter pan.I like it. The cats like it. Thats good enough for me.

We like, just about non-dusty and thin that cats like.
Cats love using this scoopable cat liter.

Too Expensive
It’s cheaper to buy from Walmart or Chewy. I came here looking for a better price. It’s a good litter tho. I love it

Great stuff
Seeing that my go to brand Dr. E**** has changed the formula or something that makes it almost impossible to scoop, I was searching for another option – hopefully cheaper. The Cat’s Pride has really good reviews and I like that its texture is like soft sand but still clumps. I ran over to my local grocery store ($7 for 12 lb jug) and hoped for the best. My senior cat doesn’t seem to have any issues with it, and is using it. It does have dust but what litter doesn’t? I thought the color might throw her off – it’s very dark, but nope, I don’t see it tracking either probably because of the softness of it. This is a good option if you’re looking for a soft litter for tender paws.

Don’t flush it!!!
Update: we used this litter for half a year- two years ago. We still cannot get the pipes clean enough and have had clog after clog. That never happened before using this litter. If you choose to use it, don’t flush it. Normal products aren’t helping on the clogs, probably because they aren’t designed to handle clay.Edit: we just ran into trouble with a terrible clog unlike any we ever experienced. We have been in this home for 20 yrs., And anytime there was a pipe problem it was a small clog in a discrete spot, easily cleared. This is different- we cannot say 100% that it was this litter because we won’t be having residue tested, but it seems as though it lined the pipes. This was a very long, very thick and stubborn clog. It took a good half year to build up. We won’t be buying this litter again.Original review: I have used clumping litters, silicon pellets, cheap clay litter, and even shredded paper (my kitty is such a sweetheart, she’ll use anything). I decided to try this litter because we are working on potty training this kitty, and this litter is what was recommended by a professional animal trainer. She was right- this litter does clump gently together, such that it can be scooped right into the toilet, where it immediately loosens apart again for a safe flush. I have no problems flushing this down a brand-new toilet with the lower water use (dual-flush). It may be noteworthy that we have already put this cat on grain free food, so her bowel movements are only about 1/3 or what they used to be, and firm. If your cat has many messy bowel movements, then this may be a less economical option for you. It was interesting watching my cat when I introduced her to this litter. She had been using shredded paper, and she pawed and played a bit with this litter, with the delight that some humans have expressed about getting a bidet, lol! She likes it, that’s for sure, and started using it immediately. I hope that this is helpful to you; do let me know, and happy shopping!
