This is just perfect for my dog!
I was looking at dog brushes bc I killed the one I had (the stupid metal bristles started falling out) when I saw that some feller had answered a question about one I was looking at. A woman (I’m assuming, who cares?) was describing her dog’s fur and asking if that was the right type for her and he pointed her (and inadvertently, me) to this one. Man, I wish I could shake that guy’s hand! This one was SO much cheaper than all the others I was considering but more importantly, it’s PERFECT for my dog! I don’t know how to describe the fur on a Dachsador (half black lab/half curly-haired Weiner dog [Dachshund+Labrador=Dachsador]) but it’s about medium length (2-3 inches on most parts), super soft on the ends but a little thicker toward the shaft, and it sticks to everything yet flies around in the air in circles and manages to land on the stove. (Hey, I guess I DO know how!) Yeah, what do you brush THAT with? THIS! The bristles aren’t too long but his coat isn’t very thick. I wouldn’t think hardish plastic would be the way to go but he loves it and it works REALLY well! When I’m done, I just pick up the edge of fur left on the brush and it pretty-much all comes off in one lift. Now, I don’t know if it’s the design or the material but an interesting thing to note is that hair doesn’t fly everywhere as much as it does when I used other brushes, either. I used to have to vacuum the area after brushing him but with this, it holds most of the hair on those little nubs. There might be a few fly-aways but not enough to bust out the sweeper. Noice!

My Cat Likes It and It Works Well
I have a short-haired cat, she hates all combs and brushes. Except this one. It worked very well to remove all the loose hair; it took less then 10 minutes. She seemed to enjoy it. It’s easy to use, just slide it on, and pet your cat. Less loose hair, less hairballs. It is soft and smooth, and there is nothing about this tool that can hurt your cat’s skin. I recommend this for all short-haired cats. I don’t know if it would work as well on a long-haired cat.

Fine but not what is hoped for
I have a coonhound mix, and wanted something to remove loose (short) hair. I can brush and brush, not much hair comes out.

    My dog loves it
She loves this brush SO much more than a wire one! It’s perfect for brushing her off after she rolls in the grass, and gets undercoat and dirt up easily.

Great for short hair dogs!!! 10 stars!!! Buy it!
If I could give this a 10 star I would! My bulldog and boxer both have very short hair and do not like to be brushed UNTIL THIS BRUSH! It really works great on short hair. My bully was really shedding and this helped so much! We had to clean the brush 5 times! It just took all that excess hair away! She was in a trance when I brushed her. And then my boxer pushed her out of the way and hogged the brush for herself. This is a wonderful brush! I’m actually ordering another. The brushes are a soft hard rubber and the hair is collected in the bristles and easily cleaned. Great product!!

Satisfaction dependent on wet or dry use
Mixed feelings. It came in the mail today and I immediately used it as a shampoo brush for my dogs. Appears to be good quality; not at all cheap feeling. It worked alright for helping lather and spread the shampoo but not as well as I hoped it would especially on my short haired dog. However, I do think it will probably work really really well for removing hair from my long haired dog when used dry considering how much came off of him during the bath. Also, as a petite female it fit my hand perfectly but if my hands were any bigger it probably would’ve been uncomfortably small.

Best brush for short haired dogs
I have tried A LOT of different brushes on my short haired border collie/pointer mix. She sheds like crazy but doesn’t have a thick undercoat or any fluff at all so finding a brush that grabs onto her slick top coat and actually removes that loose hair has been very difficult. This is by far the best brush I’ve used for her. I have small hands and the brush fits perfectly around my fingers, I’d imagine my husbands hand would be a bit uncomfortable but it’s great for me. The little bristles act like individua grabbers and pull away substantial amounts of loose hair. Since I can hold the brush we’ll with the strap I’m able to go quickly and the bristles are soft enough that my dog enjoys being brushed with it. Not sure how long it will last but at this price as long as it holds out for a few months it will definitely be worth it. I do wish the brush area was a bit bigger since my dog is on the bigger side but it’ll also work well on our short haired chihuahua mix.

excellent heavy duty brush for shedding animals
This gets so much hair out of my cat and he just LOVES it. He clenches his little feet and purrs and rolls around the whole time. The material of the brush helps grab and hold the hair it collects, and it’s soft so it doesn’t irritate your little friend’s skin. Great buy!

Short haired pittie loves when I groom with this. Has some massage feeling as she sits still. Removes her short hair but doesn’t capture it all in the comb.

Works well on my dogs. Comfortable to use and helps de-shed my pups!
