One for the cats, one for the humans
While our cats love these and this order was added to the others of these we have around the house already, the main reason for ordering these was for my husband. He will often try to scratch his back on a corner in the house, so I thought hmmm…..these work so well for the cats, would one hold up to a human? Turns out they do! The included adhesive mounting tape is quite strong. Installation is easy, just make sure you have the exact location marked because you cannot reposition these if you change your mind. Removing the adhesive tape can damage painted or wallpapered walls. Make sure the wall is clean for best adhesion, and press down for about 30 seconds to squish out any air bubbles. As for these working as a human backscratcher, my husband has zero complaints. The plastic bristles are flexible enough to not hurt our cats, and sturdy enough to scratch that one spot under your shoulder blade that you can never seem to reach. Might be an odd use of this product, but it really works as well for humans as it does for cats. For the one we put up for the cats, the bristles are close enough and long enough for us to either put cat treats in-between the bristles, or if the cat treats have a hole in them to hang them from the bristles. It’s a neat way to get your cat interested in using these little scratchers, and a way to entertain them for a bit.

Sticks to walls well and comes with nails just in case. The Bristles are too plastic like my cats don’t love it but use occasionally.

My cat likes it
It took a while for my cat to start using it, and now she uses it every day. Instead of using the double sided tapes that came with the product, I used damage free Command strips because I installed it on the corner of my coffee table.

These things didn’t stay on. The triangular shape is a minus, not a plus. My cats had no interest.

Cat’s smell the catnip
What a fun grooming and scratching device for your cats. I took a quick video of my cats interactions right after I installed it. My golden cat Manny, couldn’t figure out how to get to the catnip. And my main coon Leo, will rub on anything anytime. I used the provided stickers to install one of them, and the other I used the 4 provided screws to secure it in place. There are slots on the interior sides that you fill with catnip. They provide a couple of packs of catnip. Although, all catnip is not the same. I used my cats favorite brand, and suddenly they both showed interest and could definitely smell the catnip you install on the inside of the side vents. This is a bit of a messy task. I recommend using a tiny funnel, and fill these in your dust pan to keep the mess contained. Cats are messy enough! Yet, another interactive toy for my boys. I am pretty sure they will use this from time to time. This product was a great price and I absolutely recommend it 👌.

Cat Tested and Approved!
My cat INSTANTLY started rubbing on these, even before I put them up. My chonk loves rubbing on walls, so this is purrfect for her and the others have shown interest as well. The brush comes in two pieces, a base and the bristle pad. This makes it super easy to remove and clean out any hair. Installation was super easy with the adhesive pads. I couldn’t test using the screws as my walls have metal caps in the corners however, they do seem like they would be more difficult to install with. Do be careful if you intend on moving them or rent your home; the adhesive strips will take paint with it. The slots for the catnip are an added bonus to get the cats interested, but the holes allow for some to sprinkle out. All in all great product and I may have to purchase more to keep all my fur kids happy!
