Orthopedic is definitely an exaggeration, but our dogs still seem to enjoy laying in it.
I am going to assume that calling this an orthopedic dog bed is mostly an attempt to get more eyes on the listing. There is foam in this bed, but it is 1″ thick max. I was initially disappointed when I unpacked it, but thought maybe it would inflate like a lot of the foam mattresses out there. It did not.We laughed and figured it would be good for one of the foster dogs that passes through our household as they would be less likely to care about how thick the bed was. Foster dog enjoyed the bed and oddly enough, each of our dogs has taken a turn and appears to enjoy laying in this bed, despite there being other memory foam options 4X thicker in the same room.As a human I was disappointed, but our dogs still seem to enjoy the bed, so the star rating reflects the dog’s experience.

Lazy cat
I ordered this bed just to see if my cat might like it, we know how picky cats are 😉 my cat LOVES it. He stayed in this bed the entire day. It’s a good size with a nice cushy rim for his head.

Feels more like a mat than a bed
This bolster style bed is pretty, but it has very little padding — it feels more like a crate mat than an actual bed. The material is nice and very soft, and the color is gorgeous, but in no way, shape or form is this a bed that’s going to provide any kind of orthopedic support. I kept thinking maybe there was an extra insert I was missing, but it’s just a very thin bed. The bolster sides aren’t all that fluffy either. We put it on top of a flat bed we had lying around, and with the extra bed underneath it, my dog’s weight is supported while she enjoys the softness and the headrest from the bumpers. My dog seems fine with this arrangement. But alone, it’s more of a pretty crate mat than a supportive bed.

Not going to lie, no way this is an orthopedic bed
Let’s start with what our 66 pound large size dog thinks, and we can tell you the she appears to approve of it, and why wouldn’t she, it’s a bed, it has bumpers all around, and we took away her other bed so this is what she has now. Now, what do we think, well first impressions were, is the foam going to expand overnight – nope, what you see is what you get. Not only is the foam very thin to call this a bed, let alone an orthopedic one at that, the material doesn’t appear to be all that well made either. We’ll be surprised if this bed lasts 6 months. Looking for a replacement to the one that she outgrew, at least that one was thick, had memory foam.

Dog approves
The photo is after about 12 hours after opening and it did fluff up a little more. Though it never got as full as it seems on the ad photos. I also got a XXL and expected it to be a little bigger. The dog in the photo is about 40lbs so I’d say she’s more a medium sized dog and she takes up a good chunk of the bed. That being said, my dogs did take to the bed right away and they seem comfortable. There was no odd smell after opening and washing the bed was easy enough. After washing it was still the same shape with no visible wear or tear.Overall I’m happy enough with the product I just wish it was more fluffy and larger.

Comfortable rest for your canine
This Orthopedic Dog Bed is a solid investment for large dog owners who prioritize their pet’s comfort and health. The bed features supportive egg crate foam that provides excellent joint support, making it particularly suitable for older dogs or those with mobility issues. The four-sided bolsters add a sense of security and a cozy spot for your dog to rest its head. The removable cover is a practical touch, simplifying cleaning efforts, and the non-slip bottom keeps the bed firmly in place, even on smoother surfaces. This dog sofa bed accommodates larger breeds with ease, offering ample space for sprawling out or curling up. This bed doesn’t just offer a place to sleep; it delivers orthopedic benefits and creates a dedicated resting area that your furry friend is sure to appreciate.

feels like a dog mat instead of a bed.
This is not orthopedic as advertised. Bed feels more like a dog mat than a bed due to very little padding. not exactly what I wanted.

Very thin dog pad
Padding is so thin that our dogs are not fans. They’d much rather be on the sofa or any of their other dog beds.Quite a disappointment given how nice this looked in the advertising photos.
