Great for Training and Mental Stimulation
They say a picture is worth a thousand words- well, here’s mine! That’s my 8-month-old puppy, who mastered this toy in under an hour! When it first arrived, I almost gave up on it. The handle seemed too tough to press, so I tossed in some treats and decided I’d just return it. But the next day, she started showing interest in it on her own. I figured, why not give it one more shot? Within five minutes, she intentionally pressed the handle!I was over the moon and decided to keep going. She sometimes gets frustrated and tries to smack or bite it, but with a little guidance – telling her to sit, focus, and press – she gets right back on track. Within just 10–15 minutes of training, she was pressing the handle and eagerly searching for her treats. If your puppy doesn’t get it right away, don’t worry! They may just need some time to adjust. This toy has been a fantastic way to keep my pup entertained and mentally stimulated. Highly recommend

Great concept, poor execution
This toy was exactly what I wanted to provide some amusement for my pups on these long, cold winter days when walks aren’t possible. The duck is well thought-out in design. It provides 3 domes for different treat sizes. The treats do eject at random (we used Zuke’s as suggested by others), but the lever on the duck does not reset. It aggravated my husky-mix; she kept pushing the lever and only got the one treat the first time. I actually had to lift the lever from underneath to get it to reset. So we ended up just emptying it and I manually tossed the treats to her (the beef treats were at least a hit!). This has the potential to be a really fun toy for medium-size dogs…if it just worked better!

A great puzzle feeder for supervised eating
I’ll start this off by mentioning that this puzzle feeder is great if you are planning to sit and supervise them, or if your dogs are amazingly well trained (mine is not…). Our dog is a corgi, so he’s maybe a little less coordinated than other full height dogs. When we initially got him taught on how to use it, we found he would smack the lever in a way that would flip the whole toy over. Or he would revert back to how he played with some of his other feeder toys (balls they nudge with the nose) and knock it over, or sometimes even try to lick into the hole of the dome to get the pieces directly and twist the whole dome off. So we’ve resigned ourselves to sitting with him and holding the dome in place while he hits the lever then runs around to get what has come out.The only other minor downside is while the dome is large enough to hold all of the food he eats at one time, it seems like the counterweight inside is maybe too small for a fully loaded dome. The first 5-6 lever presses, the lever will get to the bottom and stay there. I cover the hole with my finger and raise it up for him to be able to get another press. All in all it’s a great toy, and it has been fun watching him figure out how it works and learning to use it. I recommend it if you can supervise your dog and hold it in place, or trust them enough to not try and sidestep the puzzle

Super fun pet treat dispenser
This toy is so mych entertainment! First let me preface this by saying that we got this toy for our cats. We have 3, and they are all food motivated and master every puzzle toy we give them faster than we can fill them. That being said- this toy is awesome. The pedal is very easy to press. How hard it’s pressed effects how quickly the inside piece spins, and thus how far the treat is launched. It came with multiple domes, each dome has a different size hole in it for different sized kibble/treats. But none of the holes are big enough for paws to reach into, so there’s no cheating this toy. The second their paw presses the pedal, the center pices starts to spin, press harder and it spins faster, and all the treats start spinning around like a blender. Because of this, it can be loud with all the treats clanking against the plastic. Sometimes 1 treat comes out, sometimes a few. There’s not really any control over how many come out. Some will fly pretty far too. We’ve had a few go roughly 10 feet away, so bear that in mind. Is it worth the price? Hell yes! 1000% Especially if you have more than one pet to use it.

Tricky, but doable. Definitely takes some training!
The mechanism works smoothly, and there are three different size bubbles for the top that are supposed to change the difficulty. It’s not as easy as some of the other puzzle feeders we’ve used/seen, which makes the learning curve a little steep, but if you have patience for training to use it, I think a dog would really enjoy it! We haven’t gotten there yet, but I think our dog is capable of learning the mechanism.Because of the training difficulty I feel like this might be too tricky for some dogs. It’s definitely a lot harder to operate for a dog than sliding compartments, or button mechanisms that open a compartment. The lever spins the inside of this one, and it needs a bit of a sustained push to properly spin, so keep that in mind.I wouldn’t use this as the main feeder for a dog until they were fully competent, but it could be good for treats or snacks!
