THE ORIGINAL LITTER TRAPPER: the cat mat is constructed from durable long lasting materials; topside features thick mesh coils that effectively grab litter; deep grooves on the topside also collect litter, keeping it contained to the mat and off of your floors
TEXTURED BACKING HELPS IT STAY IN PLACE: while other mats may shift around as your cat exits their litter box, resulting in litter all over your floors, our mat is designed with a textured backing that helps it to stay in place, even with active cats
WATER RESISTANT: constructed from durable water resistant materials, the cat mat is designed to not allow liquids to pass through, helping to keep liquid messes off your floors; mat also protect floors from scratching
RECYCLE MORE LITTER AND EASY CLEAN: waste less litter; tip and pour collected litter back into the box to save money; excess litter can also be vacuumed or shaken out of mat; for a deep clean use mild soap and water, always air dry
INCREDIBLY GENTLE AND SOFT ON PAWS: a durable mat that is super soft on sensitive paws, because your furry friend deserves the best; even makes a great spot for an afternoon cat nap; mat measures 35″ x 47″

Works Well and Looks Nice – Compares with Another Brand
I ordered the XL Pieviev 30″x 24″ mat.I also ordered the Wepet super-size 45″ x 35″ mat. They both work well with slight differences. This mat is slightly too small. I would love this mat more if it was available in 35 or 36″ X 24″ or even 30″x30″ – just a bit bigger, but it works very well as is. I just have to angle our litter entrance. This mat works well for collecting litter around the box. The litter stays put and does not travel off the mat at all. Most of the litter is caught right outside the exit of the litter box.I really love not having to get litter out of the crevices of my wood floors!Because the mat is just slightly too small for our box, I keep our litter at an angle on the mat to ensure the cats have to walk on the mat for several steps when exiting and it works perfectly. Our box has a lid, so only one choice of exit, but if cats could exit from any angle, I would need a smaller litter to have all sides surrounded by this mat.It does feel very pleasant to walk on – soft, cushy, and almost like foam, but not squishy. My cats use it with no problems. The texture collects litter slightly better than our Wepet mat because the soft texture traps it, but the Wepet is smoother and contents slides off easier during cleaning. This Pieviev collects more dust and fur and is harder to dump contents from since they cling. Its softer flexibility and cushy texture means I have to shake the mat to get it to release the contents – they don’t just slide off the way our Wepet mat does and it results in more dust flying, so I put it completely inside a trash bag when dumping to prevent dust. The smaller size also means if my sons spill litter when changing the litter, it isn’t contained as easily. The texture of the mat does mean litter doesn’t scatter as far, though. The Wepet mat is smoother and more rigid, so dust doesn’t stick/absorb and contents slides off easily when dumping, but they also migrate more, so there is litter throughout the whole mat instead of concentrated at the litter exit. That said, I prefer dumping the Wepet mat because it opens on each end, so litter can be dumped from top or bottom. At first, I thought this would make it easy to spill or difficult to dump the contents without messes – bit it is the opposite! Contents stay put until I dump them and having both ends open makes it so much easier to clean! The Pieviev is a bit harder because contents get stuck in the upper end where it closed like an envelope.Recap:This mat works very well.Comfy to walk on.Looks nice.Catches all the litter from their paws in the first few steps.Slightly too small, but still works well.Collects some dust and fur (not bad though)Requires some shaking to get contents loose when dumping. The rigidity of the Wepet mat makes it easier to dump the contents in the trash, easier to clean, and less dust collects in it because of the smooth texture, but it is not as soft or comfy to walk on and litter migrates across the whole mat, not just a few spots. It’s hard to say which I prefer. For softness to step on and trapping litter in a more concentrated spot right outside the box, I prefer this Pievev and it looks nice aesthetically. For cleaning ease and optional larger mat sizes, I prefer the Wepet. One note – I have only had these a few weeks and I have *not* hosed them down or scrubbed with water/liquid cleaners, so how these each clean or hold up to water remains to be seen.

    Worth buying!
The “grip” on the mat is 3.5/5 it is really nice and collects all the litter. I recommend especially if you have a litter robot. The money was worth it. It is leak resistant. Easy use and clean. I bought the XL and it is the perfect mat size for the robot, it surrounds the outside and length wise making it hard for my boys to track litter.

    Litter tracking be gone!
This has helped cut down on litter tracking – big time! If you’re trying to choose between two sizes? Size up! These are easy to shake out into the trashcan catch litter, are more affordable than other options but seems to be better quality! Love this little mat.

  5. thank you

Outstanding. Catches all litter off pet paws and people feet
Outstanding. I put it in the doorway of the bathroom so that the cats have to walk over it as they leave the bathroom. This has contained all the litter to inside the bathroom ever since. I just sweep the bathroom. There was no off gassing of unpleasant smells or difficulties unfolding it. It unrolled easily. The cats accepted it immediately and walked on it with no problems.

I’ve finally cracked the litter code and these mats helped
Listen, I love cats, but I absolutely loathe stepping on the litter grains they inevitably track. These mats are surprisingly soft and cushy with great flexibility and do a pretty good job of containing rogue grains and are easy to shake off over the litter box once a week. However, anyone who has had cats and tried some type of these mats knows they are not foolproof and some tracking will still occur. I have therefore used them with other countermeasures to preserve my sanity. Read on for the system I’ve developed after more than 25 years of having multiple cat roommates. In addition to these mats, I purchased a vinyl “rug” that was on clearance. I went for an oversized piece so the sides bent up against the wall, creating a bin to hold any messes or accidents. I anchored the vinyl in place with a staple gun, placing staples about 6 inches apart close to the edges to avoid gapping. Before the vinyl went in, I stapled plastic sheeting (3 or 4 mil) to keep the fine dust particles contained. After the vinyl was in place I taped an additional strip of sheeting to hang down over the edges of the vinyl, in case any cats epically miss with a stream; this sheet is specifically intended to prevent pee from dripping down between the vinyl and wall (I’ve been down that road and it isn’t a good time). And very important: I installed a Levoit air purifier, because with time, dust will coat all the surfaces and it is gross. An air filter is a MUST if you have allergies or you have a cat with asthma (coughing or wheezing is a sign and our pocket panther has mild symptoms. Air purifiers cut his coughing fits to a minimum). To make it easier to see, I installed two magnetic mount LED lights with motion sensor or always on settings. You may notice in the video I have a curtain rod and shower curtain over the entrance to further isolate the space. With all these measures in place I am happy to report I have kept litter dispersal outside Kitty Cove to a minimum. At least 90% of the litter remained in Kitty Cove. With it contained, all I needed to do for weekly cleaning was a good shake out of the mats over the box, a quick sweep and then some light vacuuming. Everything went back into place, taking about half the time it used to take. Outside Kitty Cove we have plank flooring and every 2 or 3 days I just go over the floor with a dust mop. It’s quick, and now takes even less time since there is less litter being tracked through the house. These mats are a win, and even if you don’t or can’t construct a Kitty Cove, they are still worth the money to cut down on a mess.

Has a fold down the center
I’ve only had this mat for three days and perhaps the issue will resolve itself with more time. The mat was shipped folded the long way then tightly rolled up, banded and shrink wrapped. When opened and unfolded this shipping method left a big crease down the full length of the mat. After three days of use, the crease is still there so it doesn’t lay quite flat. The cats are still a bit shy about walking on it but are gradually getting used to it. It does collect a good share of the loose litter but I won’t be able to tell exactly how effective it is until the cats are completely used to it.Update — the cats have accepted it and it does catch most of the scattered litter so that’s a plus. But it’s been a month and that crease from folding for shipment is still there. It unfortunate.

It’s a really good mat. Did not stop tracking completely but definitely reduced it.

  9. pancho

El color es mejor que la foto, huele un poco a plástico pero al 4 día se le quito. Mi gata se siente cómoda en el, hasta se acuesta ahí. No es muy grande pero tampoco pequeño.

  10. Momof2dogs

Sturdy, well made, I believe it will last a long time. The previous one I had was much smaller so I appreciate the larger area that will be covered. Also that it collects more stray litter. My cat is tracking less out of her litter room. Could I have bought one for $4 at Dollarama, probably. It would’ve been much thinner and not quite as good at capturing kitty litter though. For what I got I feel the overall price point was very reasonable. I believe I paid $16 ish. Well worth it IMO.
