Great Nail Grinder
This was originally recommended to me by a groomer. I did see other products with higher ratings, however, this one is corded and I like that I don’t have to charge it. My dog doesn’t like her nails touched at all, but she tolerates this. I don’t use the guard, but it is a nice attachment to have. It took me a second to figure out how to change out the polishing bur to the grinder wheel, but now it’s super easy. This has the perfect amount of rpms and weight that it’s comfortable to handle and grinds the nail down quickly. The grinder is not very loud, so that makes it easier to use around my dog. I would recommend.

The Old Guy Loves the Results
My geriatric dog has never liked his feet being touched. Now that he’s older and his nails grow twice as fast, our problem became twice as bad. The nails were brittle, long, thick, curled, and made his toes twist. It took about half an hour of meticulous bribing for him to finally still not let me touch his feet. But he did let the grinder accidentally creep up under his nails once he relaxed. They’re not perfect, but I think with more coaxing, he’ll eventually let me polish them up. For now, they’re shorter and he’s walking better! I call that a win!Oh, and the product is exactly as advertised! Quiet, efficient, powerful. It came the day after I ordered it.

Extra Attachments Okay
I have been drummeling my dogs nails for decades so a great pet drummel is a must for people like me that have been traumatized by poor vet offices and pet grooming employees. When pet drummels first came out I remember they were rechargeable battery operated. I do not remember finding a corded one until the 2007 timeframe. I prefer corded ones like this so I won’t need to recharge a battery or replace batteries. The extra attachments are okay but really not necessary for a seasoned nail groomer. The noise level is low, the extended nail cover is okay for a first-time user, the light is wonderful and helps me see so much better (never had this before) and the cost is great. The only downfall is this has only one speed. I would highly recommend this grinder for both seasoned and first timers for grinding pups nails.

Quality, powerful dog nail grinder
Thank heavens for this thing! Why oh why did I struggle so long with other sucky dog nail trimmers/grinders before getting this? This is the quiet yet powerful dog nail grinder I needed for my beloved-yet-curmudgeonly older dog, who has gotten us kicked out of vet and groomer nail trimming sessions because he just wouldn’t have it. Sure, it still makes noise, it is a power tool after all, but it’s much more quiet compared to other, less powerful products of this type. I tried less powerful grinder tools because they were battery powered but they didn’t do the job at all. I thought I would mind the cord on this one but I don’t. It’s long enough, it’s fine, and it gives you the power! Plus it has the guard, which is good. Because it is so powerful, you really have to be sure to only use it for a second or two on each nail before moving on to another nail, otherwise it heats the nail up and it’s actually painful for your dog. IF you’re not careful, you can actually burn the quick (toes) from the inside as the friction heats up the nail, so I just touch the grinder to each nail for a few seconds at a time and make my way down the line of nails, doing a little bit each day. Even in just a few seconds, you can see the nail getting shorter — this thing really works. Also be sure to trim the fur around the nails first, so that this powerful grinder doesn’t catch it up and pull the hair. My dog is so frightened of having his nails done that I had to use treats for 2-3 weeks to get him used to the grinder, first with it powered off, letting me just touch the grinder to his paws without turning it on. Then I turned it on and held it up to the nails without touching them, so that he could get used to the sound, and gave him treats. 5 minutes at a time, 2-3x day, with this training. Now he lets me do his nails no problem. I can’t believe it. Who knows what my dog is really thinking, but I could swear he feels much more comfortable and happy to finally have his nails trimmed down.

Just soso
I have always used a rechargeable nail grinder and it seemed to bog down and not have enough power to complete a trim. So I thought the corded one would be better. There was no lack of power, but the sandpaper grinding wheels don’t last long enough to complete the job. They are also a pain to change. So, I ended up up starting with the corded sandpaper and had to finish with my old battery grinder. I haven’t checked, but hopefully there are metal grinding wheels for this thing like I use for my rechargeable. Not really happy with this purchase.

Awesome nail grinder!
I have purchased two rechargeable nail grinders for my dog and neither of them had the power to efficiently grind her nails before she got tired of it the experience. I saw this corded unit and decided to give it a try. It is amazing 🤩 It is quiet and grinds quickly. You need to be careful not to spend more than a couple of seconds on any nail. I go back and forth on one paw until they are all done. The replacement heads are inexpensive and ready to find.

I have not tried it yet since i found out that the voltage and frequency of this unit is 120v/60 hz. I cannot plug it directly to the power socket in the UAE since the standard voltage here is 220v/50 hz.I need to purchase a step down transformer to be able to use this pet nail grinder. Frustrating!

After using cheaper cordless models, this nail grinder is a game changer. Works so well, we can do our dog’s nails in half the time. The cord is long enough to reach easily. Easy to hold, not too loud. Really glad we went with this model.

My dog, a five years old sausage, has always been terrified of nail clippers although I never hurt her. This product was my last resort. This trimmer is really good, it does not make a loud noise, and it’s efficient. A few seconds per nail. Simple to use. My dog now lets me take care of her nails without howling.
