PERFECT, much better than expected, I’d HIGHLY recommend this pad!
After reading some reviews, I was skeptica this was a good pad for the price. Many reviews were good though, and I have Prime, so I took the chance. I was half way expecting the thin cheap egg crate many “orthopedic” beds have, that pack down quickly. I was worried the seams would rip easily. Well FORTUNATLEY I got a good, no GREAT one! The egg crate is the thick, firm kind that will not pack soon. It’s a FULL 4″ thick. The bottom of the zip on cover is what I would describe as a thin canvas. The top is a soft fleece, blanket type, that my dog loves! The seams are tight, zipper is put in well. I fully expect this to last a LONG time.The medium is perfect for my 22lb Cavaier King Charles Spaniel. I take him with me to horse shows, where he spends his 3-4 days (several walks and getting out to play with people each day) in his happy place, his kennel. I have a larger one than what most people use at home for a nighttime sleeping crate. So he can move around easy and have a water bowl.The medium sized pad measurements are exactly as described in the item description, and is perfect for my crate.I HIGHLY recommend this pad, it’s a great product for the cost. A true 5 star rating. If I had to buy a second one, I’d be willing to pay more for it. If you do for some reason get a dud, it was probably a rare lemon, and I recommend returning it for a replacement.

Soft & comfy but not convertible
My dogs haven’t taken to this yet- hence the photo of “Lamby” instead of one of the dogs! Lamby is about 10″ long, for reference.Firstly- this isn’t what I thought I was ordering. I intended to get a “convertible” bed that was pictured on the main post for this product. This bed is not convertible, as in- the sherpa part is not removable. I wanted to use the sherpa piece to put into another dog bed that has a hole in it, and use the bottom part of the bed on its own. The whole cover for this comes off, revealing the spikey foam insert, which is soft but supportive. The sherpa top is super soft, but I’m worried with my dogs’ tendency to dig before laying down that their nails will catch in the material and shred. So far, though, the times that my bichon tried to lay on the bed and dug on it for a minute, there were no pulls and no shedding! That surprised me. Not sure why she nor our beagle aren’t using it yet, but it could just be the new smell. Haven’t washed the cover yet, but it does unzip easily & seems like it will hold up OK- especially given the digging test it’s endured! The rest of the cover is a canvas-type material.Just double-check when you’re choosing your size/color that if you want the convertible version that it states “convertible” in the description. The only reason I didn’t return it is because it seemed like my mistake- plus, I like the blue plaid & it is really soft & comfy. My dogs will come around to it.

lightweight but sturdy item
Overall, I would give this a high rating if you are not expecting a “chew proof” bed. This is nice and thick, has the egg crate foam and a nice soft cover that can easily be removed and washed. I would suggest washing it by hand and air drying to keep it from getting torn, etc. For the price, this is excellent for using as an extra pad inside a dog stroller, or extra padding on a dog bed, or even just by itself as a pad. Just don’t expect it to be chew proof. I am very pleased with the purchase (I bought 2 of these) and would recommend to others without hesitation. The size is good for dogs up to and including a pug.

Damaged item upon receipt.
This is my 3rd purchase of this type of item from this manufacturer. First two were great. This latest one arrived with two broken zippers. Tab was broken off and missing on one and the second was stuck half closed on the side, so the cover could not be closed or sealed. Returned for refund. Due to foam expansion upon opening the package – it would not fit back in box. At UPS would not fit in standard return box. So, I had to pay $25 out of pocket for new box and packing to return a damaged item. Very unsatisfied.

Weird smell dog won’t go near it.
Pros: I thought this bed was cool. Great quality. Soft materials. The bed itself was good quality memory foam and a bit of “egg crate” foam on top. The cover was super soft, easy to remove and wash. I know because I tried to wash out the odd smell several times.Cons: Didn’t get product on first delivery. Amazon quickly sent a replacement.The bed had a strong smell that I recognize from a raincoat I have. It’s some sort of waterproofing treatment I think. I kind of like the smell (I’m weird though so…) but Miss Fluffybutt wasn’t having any of that. She will not go near the bed. She won’t even touch it! Just as well, she’d probably have torn it to shreds anyway. I don’t think the cover would hold up to any kind of chewing or “digging”. It’s very nice though.I can’t recommend but I don’t think it’s a terrible product either.

High quality dog bed!
This bed is a great quality material and the thickness of the memory foam is very plush. You can un-zip just the quilted top layer of the outer shell to wash it or you can take the entire cushion out to wash the entire cover. This is a very nice feature. It is very easy to put the cushion back in the cover if you take it out. Another nice feature. We have two. One for each dog. They seem to love them and use them daily.

My Black Lab is happy with this bed in his crate
My Black Lab is a big boy, at a large boned, long-legged 82 lbs. He is happy with this bed in his crate, and so am I. The fleece bed I had in it before was impossible to clean his hair off of, but this one I can take outside and brush it (It can also be unzipped and washed, but so far haven’t needed to do that). It has enough cushion to make him comfortable, but not thick enough to take up the headroom in his crate. He loves going to bed now. And, I feel better about it since it is listed as chew-proof, as he once tried to swallow the blanket I had in his crate!

Waren 2 stunden lang super zufrieden bis unser Australien Sheppard das ding in sämtliche Einzelteile zerrissen hat. Das liegt aber eher weniger am Produkt, sondern eher an diesem grobian. Also spitze Welpenzähne hält es leider nicht aus aber es wird wieder gekauft, wenn er sich besser unter Kontrolle hat. Klare Kaufempfehlung!
