It was an awesome toy for about a half hour
My dog ripped this thing apart in about 30 minutes!! She is a Pitt/Shepard mix and loves throwing things around. After about 15 minutes, she had the loop ripped off and when that happened a hole was made in the fabric ball wrapper. It only took about another 15 minutes for her to open that hole up so she could bite the rubber liner and puncture it.These balls would be great if the loops didn’t rip off so easily, or if they had no loops at all. If I get another one, I’ll save myself the money and cut off the loop. To be fair, I have tried three different balls from three suppliers and they all ripped and broke the same way. It’s $100 worth of disappointment and a bummed out puppy. I would be shocked if a horse playing with this ball would have a different result.

It’s dual function with pulling or rolling.
My McNab dog loves pulling the ball around the yard by the strap. Hopefully he will get used to nudging it around the yard after a few days.

Not for dogs that want to bite instead of herd
I knew when I got this that my dog was one that has always wanted to bite balls, not herd them. I was hoping that with one this big, since she couldn’t possibly bite it, that she might learn to push it around. Well… kind of.First thing for a “bite the ball” kind of dog is the handle. I understand that you want a way to carry it and I probably look pretty silly carrying that huge ball out in front of me trying not to trip over my feet, but I had to cut the handle off within the first few minutes because that’s ALL she would go for. Even after I cut it off! Since I didn’t want to get too close to the actual seam of the ball, there was just a little sticking out and she could still pick it up!For inflation…. The instructions are very clear that you need to inflate it FULLY, to get all of the wrinkles out of the outside cover so that the dog cannot bite that. And when you think it’s inflated, inflate it a little more. Got it! I feel bad for anyone that has to use the little hand pump to inflate the entire ball. Luckily I have a compressor. Here’s the thing…. Once I get it inflated to the point that all of the wrinkles come out of the seams there was NO way I could even budge the zipper! I had the plug hole in the middle of the zipper area and had to deflate a little, reposition so it was all the way at the end, zip until it was just at the hole and fill again. I barely got it closed, but then it was still too tight to tuck it into the little hidey place. And you know…. my dog would try to bite that too.So it was a bit of a fight to get it all set up. No easy feat. But with as much pressure as there is on the cover, so far it seems very well made! We’ve kicked it around the yard a bunch and she will try to grab even at the seams. I sit on it sometimes (160lbs) and so far it’s shown no signs that it’s going to fail.I only wish I had a herding dog! It would be SO fun if she’d actually chase it around the way it’s meant. It’s much bigger than it needs to be for her size (she’s 40lbs), but after just 10 minutes or so the first time we played with it she was panting for at least 20 minutes. Great fun!

    Cheap Product
It cost $50 for my border collie to spend maybe 3 minutes with this product before the handle came off leaving a hole in the material where the handle was attached! He was running across the yard with it in his mouth, then the handle tore off. This ball is a waste of money. It is far from durable.

Big Dog Energy in Ball Form
When I say this ball woke up my Australian Shepherd’s inner chaos gremlin, I’m not even kidding. From the minute it hit the yard, it was like her instincts snapped on — tail high, eyes locked, full herding mode activated. She’s been chasing it non-stop, weaving and circling like she’s training for the Sheep Olympics. It’s heavy-duty enough to take the wild headbutts and paw slaps without folding like cheap lawn furniture, which is exactly what you need when your dog thinks it’s game day every day.One thing that stood out is how tough but surprisingly light it feels. My girl is not gentle — she plays like she’s got something to prove. Normally, she shreds toys in minutes, but this ball is still standing after a full week of outdoor chaos. The anti-burst design? Yeah, it’s doing its job. We even had a little slip where she pounced it full-on like a linebacker, and the ball just bounced back ready for more.Mental exercise? Check. Physical exhaustion? Double check. It’s been great not just for burning off her turbo-charged energy, but also keeping her brain working. She zones in, planning her angles, staying sharp. It’s like a workout and a brain teaser rolled into one. Plus, since it’s designed to be gentle on teeth, I don’t have to stress about her cracking a fang while she’s showing off her herding skills. If you’ve got a working breed who’s got more energy than a toddler on candy, this thing hits the spot. It’s not just a toy — it’s a mission. Watching her out there, fully dialed in, tail wagging, eyes lit up, you can tell she’s living her best dog life. The ball’s bright color also makes it easy to find when she boots it halfway across the yard. No regrets grabbing this — it’s pure herding madness in the best way.

Don’t waste your time or money
Do NOT order the 25in ball. It comes with the inner ball for like an 18in ball, way too small. Outer ball isn’t taunt. Ordered and returned twice hoping the1st was just on off mistake.
