Exceeded Expectations
Exceeded my expectations. I had low expectations and sure enough it was wavy when it first arrived due to the packaging. I let it sit on the floor in the kitchen for several days, the cats inspected it by sitting on it and it steadily flattened out and off gased.After having it sit by the litter box for a week I am astonished at how much less litter is tracked through the house.It’s well worth the money, I will be getting another for the 2nd litter box in my house

Iron out the wrinkles on a thinner large towel
Before purchasing this I had one of those plastic twisted fiber (like arm & hammer) mats & those are hard to clean.I read the reviews here complaining about it not laying flat but decided to buy anyways.Following someone else’s review on here I laid a beach towel over the mat & starting ironing it out with lots of steam & the mat laid flat within 5 minutes. Make sure you iron the side with the honeycombs, not the non slip side. It has stayed flat over the course of this week as well. DEFINITELY recommend doing that. This is the fastest method.It’s easier to clean with this envelope style than other mats I’ve owned. I’ve noticed I haven’t had to sweep our hardwood floor every day. Tracking is less for sure. I use Tidy Cats Lightweight litter.

Love it
Love this. It keeps litter from scattering all over the floor and it traps it in. I just have to dump it out over the garbage and spray it off when needed. Would recommend for people with cats that sometimes miss the litter box.

Interesting concept, not so great in practical execution.
Hmm, I think the concept is good, but the execution is less. The mat comes folded, and to use it, you’d want it to be flat on the ground. The folds take a long time to reduce: as you can see in the image the mat still has creases, which make it uncomfortable for the cats to walk over. These photos were taken three weeks after receiving it, and I first put it under the mattress to get the creases out. So not great.That said, it does work well in capturing our cats’ sand / dust after using their cat box. In the second picture you’ll be able to see the grounds from the cat sand through the holes of the mat.In order to clean it, you can pour out the sand, but if it got wet it gets stuck in the mat. Then some more vigorous cleaning (outside with the hose) is required. So not as easy.It also takes up a lot of space, it’s quite large and covers a big part of the bathroom floor where we keep our litter box. I’m still half and half with this mat. It’ll do until have a better replacement.

It WORKS!
Buy this one immediately. I seriously can’t get over how well it works!! I can walk in my bathroom barefooted and not step on litter. I told my husband if this wasn’t a litter mat I’d kiss it.Seriously has helped so much! I bought another one for my other litter box!!

recommend for anyone who has a litter box
I assumed it would be a more rubber type material but it seems like a more soft foam kind which I didn’t really like. other than that it’s worked exactly for what I needed, collects the litter left on my cats paws instead of it just sitting surface level and tracking everywhere. I have the litter box on top of it so for a quick little clean up instead of fully picking it up everytime I just use the vacuum tube to spot vacuum the litter. my cat always uses his litter box and doesn’t have accidents so I don’t know what the waterproof-ness is. overall exactly what I needed.

It’s smaller than I thought it’d be which is my bad but it’s also very hard to get flat. It also seems unevenly sewn. I picked this for the name brand but it kinda seems as good as an Amazon brand one. I’ve got heavy weights on it over night. Will update if that’s gets it flat finally.Update:It’s still not flat after having a computer monitor box on top of it overnight. So now I’ve put the heaviest books I own on top of it to try again for another 24 hours.There is also a clear problem with the manufacturing of this. The top is much larger than the bottom so it doesn’t lay flat. Also the problem with this is the honeycomb is longer than the bottom so if the cats step in that area it’s just trapping it on the floor which defeats the whole purpose of this thing. I will most likely be returning it if it doesn’t flatten out by tomorrow.

Does catch litter but fold creases never come out so it doesn’t lay flat
