Nicely made, and nothing to leak
I really like the style of this cooling mat. Unlike some of the others that require, you filled them with water, this somehow has cooling fibers in one of the layers and additional construction that is designed for breathability and to not retain body heat. It feels nicely cool to the touch. Our dog finds it comfortable, and I really like the fact that it has the nonskid stuff on the bottom so that we don’t have to worry about anyone going airborne if they step or trip over it.It seems to work as effectively as any style of cooling mat that I have used in the past. I do expect that on the hottest nights, if you have a dog that completely fills their crate and the entire surface of the cooling mat, it could possibly lose a bit of its cool cooling benefit as body heat builds up if the dog cannot reposition. But for a dog that can move from one side of the mat to the other easily and has a bit of room to spare, they should keep them comfortable the entire night. Our dog is particularly big, so during the hottest weather I will get a second mat so she can move between them if we find that ‘s necessary. But during our current warm weather periods (not yet peak summer heat days) she is finding this mat very refreshing and likes it a lot.

Moderate cooling effect
I’ve had the cooling mats that need to be filled with water before. While this doesn’t cool quite as well as they do, there’s no mess or leakage to worry about. My dog does seem to like it when it’s super hot outside. I’m going to try it in different spots around the house to find one where she likes to settle after coming in from a walk. It might also be nice on the deck, where my dog tends to get a little overheated but wants to be near me. It’s portable enough to move around throughout the day or to take with us when we visit family.The mat seems well made, although I haven’t had to launder it yet. The upper surface feels similar to the fabric often used on the top of a mattress. I put my bare feet on it and did feel a moderate cooling effect right away, so I know it works to conduct heat away from the body. I think it will be best used on hot days on either side of summer when I’m not running my evaporative cooler but my dog (or cat) needs a little extra cooling.

Looks and Feels Great!
I live in a really hot climate and sometimes I get worried about my cats overheating, so this mat seemed like a nice thing to add to their things.It had been sitting in a hot mailbox and within a couple of minutes cooled down so it was cool to the touch. It is really really soft and my cats have some interest towards it. I got the smallest size and I think that would be perfect for small dogs too since it fits my cats well. The grips underneath are really grippy so it shouldn’t slip and slide easily, which I’m appreciative of.I am a little worried about how easily it is to keep clean, so I’ll have to update if it held up well in a washer or if it should be hand wash only in the future.

This is a nice sized cooling mat which fits my 70# dog pretty well. It is cool to the touch but I do not find that it is as cooling as the gel cooling mat we have for her. It seems to be a decent quality but I haven’t washed it yet.I do find it pricey at $36.80 currently

Dogs love it
The dogs love laying on this pad. It is not very cushioned, but it feels noticeably cooler than the wood floor next to it. In the recent heat wave, it was difficult to keep the living room below 75 and the dogs were non-stop panting with their winter coats still in place. (Daily high temps from 65-95 in a week didn’t allow them, or us, to acclimate properly.) I even found my daughter laying on it to cool off a little. It definitely works best on hard surface floors. I am not exactly sure how it works, but I think it is due to available air flow underneath.My in-laws saw it and are looking to get one for their dogs in their RV.

Short term cooling
This cooling mat is nice for when you first come inside. It’s cool to the touch and feels nice on a hot day.However, it does warm up rather quickly and, unlike a cooling blanket, you can’t just turn it over and have another cool side.It also stains rather easily, which I was a little disappointed with, especially for a product meant for dogs.It’s not bad, but I wouldn’t say it’s worth the current price of $49.99.

It does feel cool to the touch
My puppy leaves his little bed and moves to the tile floor when he gets warm, so I thought I would get him this cooling pad. It does feel cool to the touch, but to manage expectations, it isn’t cold, just cool. It seems to be due to the plastic-y material. My dog seems to like it. He’s gone on it a couple times now and seems comfortable laying on it. The underside has a nice non-slip layer that keeps the pad snugly in place on the floor. I was a bit worried because the color of the mat looks just like a pee pad, but so far, thankfully, no issue! It seems to stay feeling cool, so I look forward to see how he likes it as we get deeper into the summer!

Dog Bed
I’m giving this 4 stars instead of 5 because it’s not as plush as the images suggest (although reading the description the thickness is noted and it is thin!). That said, I set it out earlier today in an area my dogs don’t typically go to, just to see if they would notice it and check it out. They did! One dog checked it out and laid out on it and seemed to enjoy it. Given that was the purpose of the bed, I take that as a win, particularly considering I have dog beds all over the house that are a lot thicker and get ignored and go unused!
