Fun minimalist high quality cat toy design, plenty of sticks without splintering, lots of play!
My cat always seemed to be more interested in the stick part of a those cat wand teaser toys, and just in general he always seemed more curious about playing with whatever stick-like thing might be attached to a toy rather than the fuzzy or feather toy attached to the string. So I had recently been looking into what kind of cat toys were out there that were basically, well, sticks haha I came across these Silvervine sticks which are said to be like catnip sticks basically and that cats love them etc etc but my cat doesn’t even like catnip. In fact he avoids the toys or anything that has the scent of cat nip so I didn’t want to waste money on something I doubt he would be interested in (though ya never know) and then I came across this on Amazon!! It sounded like a fantastic idea and I had to try it!I received it in the mail and noticed immediately how nice quality the wood is. I mean wow! The base is solid and sturdy, it’s not too heavy to move around with ease but it’s wood haha so it stays where I put it and doesn’t seem like my cat could just flip it over possibly causing unnecessary harm with all those sticks pointing out of it (though not sharp) or something like that while trying to play and swipe at or chew on the sticks placed into the holes in the base. It’s super cute and minimalist looking and it honestly looks really nice and modern and blends really nicely in with my house furnishings/etc as well.It comes with a lot of sticks so that’s fantastic since my cat loves to play and with the stick-like or long thing shaped sorta toys and such he’s played with in the past, he loves to pick them up with his mouth and run around to place them somewhere else and bat at them and so on. So I’m not worried about the sticks getting lost and then having to find a way to get more, since honestly it came with more than I would’ve thought and to me it’s such a perk!So far my cat has loved rubbing his cheeks/muzzle on the ends of the sticks and they are also light enough and thin enough for him to lick them up in his mouth, even just to kinda play around with it and toss it back down, he hasn’t picked them up and taken any to another room or anything, which might be safer tbh since he runs around and jumps over a little pet gate (he has to jump pretty high actually lol) and I’m not sure if he can get a good enough of a grip on it to do all that. Though, with that said, the wood is soft enough yet sturdy enough to hold and sorta bite into without “chewing” it up or breaking it etc.The base has 9 holes to place the sticks into, and you can push them in as far as you’d like to depending on how easy or difficult you want it to be for your cat to pull them out (if possible haha) and you can space them out in whatever way you prefer (or your cat seems to prefer) to allow them a bit of variety with playing with the sticks while placed into the base piece.Such a simple toy, doesn’t take up room, and my cat seems to absolutely want to play with it so far and we only just got it so SO FAR SO GOOD.Happy with this purchase for sure! I think it’ll bring a lot of fun and entertainment for my cat :)Who knew!

Interesting
Very cool, my cats haven’t been super interested really and I’m nervous theyre going to get splinters because they aren’t the smartest but so far no injuries, very durable and heavy

My chewer likes it
This wood stick toy/redirector gave my cat something to chew on besides plastic. In just a couple of days he has gnawed off about 1″ (25mm) from 2 of the sticks and signs of use on 3 others. My other cat ignores it, but she won’t try to chow down on paper wrapping. If you have a chewer, they should love this. It’s a really simple idea that is well executed. The base is big enough and heavy enough that it doesn’t move around the carpet during a chew session. If I move it to hardwood, I’ll either put some feet on it or just use a silicone pad under it. It’s unfinished, but well sanded. The sticks are a really soft wood that his saliva makes even softer and he chews all the way to the back teeth. There are 9 holes for the sticks and the tolerances on the stick to base fit were surprisingly high – most took a decent amount of pressure to push in. That means they stayed in when I turned it upside down and shook it. I accidentally knocked it off the counter after assembly and broke a stick. Luckily, they included some spares and both cats loved the new toy (sanded broken stick).Note that my chewer likes this as much as the plastic I keep taking away. 😉 He gives it two paws up for a simple solution to a relatively common issue.

They sort of like it…
My youngest kitty has a habit of chewing on anything of wood. Only cat I’ve ever had to ever do this – pencils, paint brushes, you name it! I got this thinking he would be obsessed. He did like it initially, but it only lasted a few days. I did spray some cat nip oil on it which made him chew it some more, but overall not that into it. I didn’t put all the sticks in it initially as I thought it was just a hazard. I’ll put it up and take it out again in a bit making it a “new” toy – that generally works for pets and kids!!

Enticing chew toy
My cats love chewing on the antennas of my wireless router, so I figured they would like chewing on wooden sticks. And they do! This is a simple chew toy, but it’s been really effective. My two cats were pretty quickly drawn to this and started gnawing on the sticks. Diverting their chewing energy away from other things in my house to these has been great.I like that these come with a decent number of replacement sticks, and being hardwood sticks, they should last a decent while.

Perfect for our paint brush thief
I have a cat with a thing for objects that stick up like straws in a cup or my mother’s paintbrushes in their jars. This toy was made for him. He can pull them out of the kitty holder, run off with them, chew them, etc. I love the fact that they don’t all have to be in the base. I can dole them out a few sticks at a time so I’m not finding ALL of them around the house. He rarely chews these things. He just plays with them, so when he loses interest, I can retrieve them and put them back in the base until next time.
