Absolute hit! My cat loves it, especially the size, how sturdy it is, and I personally love the color (green, as it matches the room). I love that when it becomes worn out you can flip the cardboard over and it is brand new. Plus, it collects the ‘cardboard shavings’ vs. other scratchers where the shavings are all over the floor. It is lightweight, large enough for her to stretch out and still have room plus the cost.

I have purchased many Scratch Lounge Cardboard Cat Scratchers over the years. Although I have tried to buy cheaper variations from other manufacturers, I keep coming back to the scratch lounge. All of my cats have loved the box shape with four sides for them to curl up in, and I have found that these are so durable that they even work well for outside cats. They are definitely the world’s best!

My 15 year old cat started scratching the arm of our brand new sofa so we bought her a new scratching post and also this, in the hopes that one or both would be sufficient distractions that she’d leave the couch alone. It seems to have worked but more importantly, she is OBSESSED with this. I almost didn’t buy it because it seemed a bit pricey, but it is worth every penny. She’s not a petite cat by any means (she’s actually pretty wide) but when she’s done scratching she just crams herself in there and falls asleep. In fact, about 75% of her life is now spent sleeping in this thing. I never could have guessed she’d love it so much. It is unfortunate that in our case we have to keep it right in the middle of the living room since the goal is to distract her from scratching the couch, and it takes up a certain amount of floor space, but it’s totally worth it! I also really like the packaging. It’s green with a cute font and it’s just a lot prettier than I expected considering it’s made out of cardboard. I can’t promise all cats would love it THIS much but I’m certainly glad I decided to go for it.

Best thing ever for cats!
My cats love this! I had to buy a second one for my two cats. Not only do they use it to sharpen their claws, they sleep in it! I have 2 big cats so both won’t fit in one although they certainly try! Now I have them sitting side by side and both get constant use. The best part is these really work for sharpening claws. I’m constantly finding the sheaths from their claws they’ve shed while scratching at the cardboard. I’ve also noticed their claws are looking so much healthier and not nearly as long as they were. Of course their claws are still growing at the same rate but using the box as much as they do their claws get worn down. I don’t have to cut them as often either. All around best purchase ever for my furry family members!
