Dog get the food from the leakageholes by turning the slow feeder.

Not ideal for cats
It’s difficult to fill the treat reservoir. You open it through a C shaped silicone flap on the side and fill it that way. There’s no way to block the holes to keep treats from spilling when filling so often a couple escape by accident. Some also escape out the side if you’re trying to scoop them in with a spoon or something because the opening is fairly small. So to avoid this you have to tediously add in the kibble by hand through said small opening. It’s also difficult/impossible to thoroughly clean the kibble holding section due to there being no good opening to get brushes or sponges inside. As far as functionality, my cat enjoyed using it but was unable to get all the kibble out. It would require many, many spins for the leftover kibbles to eventually find their way out of the holes. This might be OK for dogs, but isn’t great for cats whos fixation will ebb a lot quicker.I do like that the height of the roller is adjustable & that the kibble falls into the slow feeder bowl area so the cat has to spend more time getting at the food.

Fun for cats too!
After discovering my cat loves dog puzzles I got this one for her to try. After a little assembly it was all set up. My cat immediately went to town trying to get the treats out and soon discovered how to spin it. The slow feeder base adds an extra level of difficulty since even after they get the treat out of the spinner they also have to get it out of the base. The area meant for putting treats into the spinner is a bit difficult to open and close and I found it quicker and easier to just put the treats in the holes. Initially I had to leave the spinner not completely screwed in on one side so that it would spin. After some use I was able to screw it in the whole way and it still spin easily. This has little gripper feet on the bottom but it still seemed to slide around on our hardwood floors. I think this would best be suited to small dogs and cats. I can see my 65 lb dog just knocking this over and dragging it around.
