Excellent Thinning Shears – For Pets (…Or Even Humans) ✂️🐈🐈💇♀️💈
This is an excellent set of thinning shears. I would use them on my pets for blending, or even on humans, they are that nice, and that sharp. Also, thinning shears are kind of a niche shear, and you wouldn’t likely be cutting much with these, just blending certain areas. So while I wouldn’t often recommend animal shears to do double duty, due to the high quality, extreme sharpness and the shape of the blades on *this particular model* (check my review to see which I mean – it’s the 7.5 inch thinning shears, which have a solid back blade, and no scoops for fur) I would say, go ahead and use these on both humans and pets with full confidence. Full disclosure, I bought these for myself and to use on friends and family primarily for the reasons stated. I’m not a professional animal groomer, so I don’t know how useful blending shears would be ordinarily. I will say that these came in very handy for blending the bum fuzz on my Persian/Ragdoll cross girl, who, if I am not extremely careful, has the kind of thin angel fuzz that can come out looking very choppy. I can leave it longer and use this to blend the levels on her sanitary trim and it looks way better. It works great for trimming my cats lower tummys rather than what I used to do (for shame) and just put a #3 guard on it and buzz most of it off. They didn’t particularly appreciate that, but it did keep the fuzz near their bums at a minimum, you know, less to get poopies on. But thinning it seemed to make them happier, while accomplishing the same goal. So there are a lot of uses for thinning shears for long haired cats, and I imagine dogs like poodles and Papillons and whatnot. As for humans, I’ve used these on myself and they are absolutely sharp and great for fine, straight human hair. For thinning shears, these are the bomb, whether for to be used on hoomans or fuzzybums.There are a few nice extras included, such as a vial of oil with a brush applicator and spillproof cap, the aforementioned steel comb, (my cats love it for face combs way more than our other steel comb – it’s like a massage to them apparently) a microfiber cloth, an instruction booklet that explains how to hold and tune the shears, (very helpful and much appreciated) two silicone bumper doohickeys to make the shears fit your fingers, a sheath, a storage case, and an adjustment wrench. (the largest sizes omit this, as the nut itself is adjustable)I would recommend this model for professional pet groomers and amateurs looking to do dual duty for grooming humans and pets alike, as mentioned above. The difference in quality is well worth it from the level below it from this firm. (The level below, which retails for fifteen dollars less at the time of review, is good for animal use, but not sharp enough to be used on humans as well, in my opinion. But, nothing against them – they are great for what they are intended to be used for.) In general, I am very impressed with Fengliren’s offerings. I’ve never heard of the company before, but man, are their shears nice and I would highly recommend these for the quality and value they offer.

Great grooming scissor set.
This is a really high quality grooming scissor set, though you can use the scissors for everyday use as well. The scissors are a high quality steel with super sharp blades and cut really well. We are so sick of cheap scissors that don’t cut well, so these are a godsend. The set comes with a comb to use for grooming. The scissors also have an adjustable screw to set them as tight or loose as suits you, as well as a little wrench tool for adjusting the screw. It also has some oil for the screw and the scissors as well as a little cloth to wipe them. It has a leather (seems real leather) pouch to store the knife with a snap closure, so you can wear the holster and have them handy and have a place to put them and not mislay them. The set comes with little rubber grommets to put in the finger holds to keep them comfortable if you are using them for a long time. The scissors also have a little pistol grip thing so you have some leverage when using, not just the two rings. Last point — the whole set comes in a great rigid storage box suitable for keeping and leaving out. Pro tip: the box has a magnetic closure, so don’t rip it open. It is a little hard to figure out how to open it because the lid you pull is recessed a little, not overlapping the next side. This is great so it won’t catch on stuff and pull open accidentally, but took me a minute to figure out. The storage box has a little platform to store the scissors with storage for accessories below and a thing to hold the shears in their pouch in place. Really professional grade tool.

Cut more like regular curves than thinners or blenders
Edit: After some additional use they aren’t as bad as I thought. They still definitely won’t replace a regular blender, but can help give soft, clean rounding.I ordered the curved thinning shears, these were ok but I’m not overly impressed. You’d be better off spending $30-$40 more and buying a professional pair that will last you several years.There really isn’t much separation at all between the teeth, and it shows. They cut more like regular curves.It is nice that they come with a leather sleeve for the shears, oil, and an adjustment tool. I wish the tension screw didn’t require a specific tool for adjustment. If you lose that it could still be done but it would be difficult so it’s not ideal if you need to make adjustments while grooming.

Excellent quality and SHARP!
Wow! Boy, is this thing sharp! I’ve never had professional quality shears for my Golden Retrievers, so I can’t compare the quality to other professional ones.. But this is definitely high quality, especially in comparison to bargain ones ive bought and used before. I got the 7 inch curved blending/thinning shears, and very pleased with them. My female 8 year old Golden Retriever’s ears tend to get a bit out of control and will matte under and behind her ears easily if I don’t keep them trimmed up on the lower/underneath part (when you hold the ear straight out, this would be the lower part below the ear tip). Blends easily without sharp cut lines like regular shears, or cheap thinning shears tend to do. Cuts like butter. Came in a lovely box to store them in, along with a small bottle of scissor lube oil, a cleaning cloth, a steel key for if the bolt needs loosening/tightening, 2 rubber finger grip rings, a storage sheath, and a full size stainless steel detangling comb with 2 sizes of teeth. Well worth the cost, and would definitely recommend to people for home grooming. Especially for pets that need a lot more body grooming than I do for my goldens, since im mostly limited to grinch toes, ears, and sometimes excess butt fluffs. I don’t show my dogs, so I don’t do any body trimming.
