Great bed for SUVs
I already have the Big Barker bed and this was a great add on for traveling. The dog loves it. High quality and American made!!!

Perfect for carting our dogs in the back of our Xterra.
We have an Xterra that we bought for carting ourselves around as well as our dogs (2 Alaskan Malamutes). We love the fold down flat nature of the back and the rubberized surface for easy cleaning. However, it’s slippery and it’s a little hard for them when traveling distance. So, I started searching for a cushion for the back that would support two dogs who are each over 100 pounds and wouldn’t slip and slide on corners. I found it in the Big Barker. It’s great. It can go in the back two ways – horizontally with bolsters on the side in the cargo area with back seats up or rotated to lay flat lengthwise with the back seats folded down. The dogs love it – no more scrabbling around as we drive. They get in, flop down, and enjoy their ride. I especially like that I can turn it horizontally with seats up so that I don’t have to take it out and try to store it when I’m not running dogs around – it is bulky and does not fold up easily. But, I wasn’t expecting that as I prefer being able to have it in the back of the truck at all times. Well worth the cost, easy to surface clean, and 2 paws up from the dogs.

My pups love it!
I had gone out on a limb and tried a regular big barker…I was so hesitant because of the cost and fear that my pups wouldn’t like it. 10 of 10 would absolutely do it again. I ended up buying a second bed and then needed something for them in the back of the car. I have an 83lb and a 100lb lab that ride in my Chevy Sonic hatchback. We lay down the seats and they get the back seat and trunk area. Now, the back of seats isn’t comfortable at all but bless their hearts they weathered it. No more! I bought this in a large so that I could turn it do the pillowed sides were oriented toward the front seats and back of the vehicle; allowing for the most coverage of my cargo area. Doing this is a pretty dang good fit. When oriented with the pillowed sides toward the rear passenger doors is a bit of a snug fit but still fits just fine. Will absolutely buy again if/when I need to.

Or very close to it, anyway. I keep the back seats of my 2023 Blazer down so that my dogs have the entire back to themselves. I ended up buying two of these (a big investment, mind you) and was able to trim the foam on one so that I could make them fit almost perfectly within the specs of the back seat. If you only want to cover the rear cargo area, the medium one works perfectly, but I wanted something to cover the seats when they were flat as well. A large and a medium did the trick. My dogs love the time they spend in the car and now they aren’t slipping and sliding around because these stay in place.

I have a German Shepherd puppy who was 3 months old whe I bought it and is now 6 months old. I will soon be taking out the insert. She lives it and it kerps the back if my Jeep Grand Cherokee clean of hair.

Great Beds but Wish They Were More Reasonably Priced
I’ve had a few Big Barker beds and they are all great. Their quality and costumer support are unquestioned. All of their beds are relatively expensive, however, in my opinion, these SUV beds are particularly overpriced. A 24″ wide bed for 180 dollars just seems excessive. Big Barker has a particular competitor that manufactures VERY similar products, of equal quality, at more affordable prices. However, that competitor, surprisingly does not making their own version of this SUV bed. That being said, because Big Barker seems to be the only company on the market that makes beds like these, I do not regret my purchase… despite the fact that it is a little embarrassing to have paid so much to fill the back of my 2017 Mazda CX-5. I have two Great Danes and wanted bedding that would fully cover the back of my CX-5, and a small and a medium do the trick nicely. Other reviews have state that there are many lower priced alternatives, but none point to those alternatives. I have been unable to find any other worthy, quality competitors in this form factor, so I do not regret the purchase.

It’s perfect for the dogs’ Hyundai Palisade. They love it. Fits perfectly with the third row seats down.

Absolutely horrible cover. This is my second big barker for my car. The other one i had to replace the cover 3 times because the zipper broke. They replaced it for free but still, 3 times in 4 years is ridiculous. This new one, is horrible. They changed the sides so you have to try and stuff this triangle pieces into the side which they don’t go in easily at all. Trying to get one in the seam came apart and now there is a hole. This design is absolutely horrible!!!!! Better off getting an egg crate bed topper and cutting it down than wasting money on this bed. Notice how bunched up the sides are and then the rip by trying to out the cushion things in. It’s impossible to even put them in completely because when you do it rips.
