Great little mister (NOT a STEAM brush!). Cools the dogs and makes hair more manageable.
First, this little device does not produce STEAM, which requires heating water to boiling temperatures. That part worried me a bit when I ordered this, but I figured it couldn’t emit real steam, and it doesn’t. It does produce a cool mist, if you fill the water reservoir and press the on button (it charges with a USB C cord which is provided). Since we are currently in the middle of a heat wave, that cool mist was an attractive feature for my furry little pugs–cooling and dampening their coats as I brush them gently actually helps to cool them down a bit. Plus, it seems to cause their hair to stay in the brush better, instead of wafting onto the floor or furniture as it usually does when I brush them. When you push the button on the back of the brush, the layer beneath the metal prongs raises to the tips of the prongs, bringing the hair with it, so you can easily remove all the hair in a wad and throw it away. The best thing about the device is how quiet it is when the mist feature is running–it makes a very quiet whirring that doesn’t seem to bother the dogs at all when I use it on them. That is amazing–they usually won’t let anything with a mechanical sound anywhere near them. If you don’t want to use the mist, the brush works fine without it. I am including a photo of the mist against a black background so you can see how much it puts out. I am also using distilled water in mine to prevent mineral buildup inside so that will last longer, but tap water works too. One charging allowed me to brush both dogs and still have power remaining. The only thing I don’t like, and it is not a big deal, is the little plastic plug that you have to remove to fill it with water and then insert it back in the hole…my fingers are as nimble as they used to be and I have dropped the plug three times already–I am going to lose it or one of the dogs is going to swallow it yet! At least it is orange so easier to see, and it can be replaced with a cork I guess! Wish it was attached to the brush–maybe I will figure out a way to attach it!

It’s mist, NOT steam!
I expect this is an innocent translation issue, but, as another reviewer pointed out, this brush does NOT provide steam since it has no way to heat the water. What it does provide is a very fine, cooling mist, and it does that very well, indeed. One thing to know is that, once turned on, the mist function runs continuously and not (as I’d thought) as a discreet burst of mist. There’s no auto-turn off, so you’ll need to press the button again to end it. I actually would rather just have bursts of mist, or maybe 5-second intervals, as the ongoing mist was off-putting to my tabby cat and I wasn’t quick enough to turn it off. But on the other hand, as just a simple brush, it’s excellent, with the best fur-release mechanism I’ve used: the fur really does just fall off with no need to rake it off with your fingers. It’s very well made, charges well, and seems like a well-thought-out design. Mine did not come with any kind of shampoo. My little guy loved his brushing and has already forgiven me for the mist. Maybe he’ll come around to it, or maybe one of my other cats will enjoy it. It’s still a very good brush!

My cat loves this brush – it helps me with some grooming that she can no longer do herself.
My elderly cat has to wear a recovery suit at all times to keep from overgrooming one spot on her side until it bleeds. This means that I have to brush her and wipe her fur to keep her clean, keep the knots out of her fur, and keep her comfortable.The package and item description mentioned that it comes with a cleaning “essence.” I did not find anything like that in the package. There was a water bottle to fill the reservoir, a USB cord, a brush, and instructions. I’m not sure that I would use a cleaner that my vet didn’t approve of anyway, because of her skin issue.I charged the unit until the light turned green, and then I filled the brush with distilled water. I use distilled water in things like this because there are no minerals in it to cause buildup and interfere with function. I read another user’s review about the steamed fur not releasing as much loose fur as dry fur, so I brushed her first thoroughly without steam. The round-tipped bristles are not scratchy, and she loved it. She loves being brushed. This brush has much more loose fur than her other one, and it has a useful feature that pushes the accumulated fur out of the brush. After brushing her, I turned on the steam feature. I think it works with a high vibration mist creator, because it produces a cold mist and doesn’t make any sound I could hear or feel, or that bothered the cat.When I was done, I was well satisfied that my sweet old girl was cleaner and fresher, and more comfortable, which is all I could want from a device such as this. I am removing one star because of the lack of pet shampoo. I would have had my vet look at the ingredients, and I might have used it then.

Its a pretty good brush, just not very good for fine cat hair. My cat has been shedding like crazy, yet this barely removed anything. The steam feature was interesting, but it didnt really help in the removal of hair, if anything it impeded the hair actually lifing

Amazing brush for a big dog!
Wow! This is even better than I had hoped. First of all, the price is amazing for this! I’d pay double what they’re offering it for, if I knew it worked so well. Second of all, we have a giant German Shepherd/Lab mix, & he only has a single coat, but she is shedding a lot in all of this heat! We weren’t sure if this would work on a big dog. But it worked great! It took a lot off of him, and I love the feature where you can just push the button and it basically “ejects” the fur from the brush! It makes it so simple to keep it clean! Also, the misting function works to keep the fur from flying all over the place. It’s not a hot spray, but more of just the cool mist you would get from a humidifier, so it’s not going to drench your pet! There is also an option to put a few drops of essential oils in there! So your pet will smell fantastic! Obviously, I’d make sure that the oils you are using are safe for pets. But what a great idea! I really, really love this brush. It charged super fast, and I am more than satisfied with its capabilities. 100% recommend!!!
