The shampoo itself is a fairly thick gel. Even though the description says you can use it full strength I would definitely dilute it. Although I was kind of skeptical at first of a 16:1 dilution I figured I would give it a try. I first poured the shampoo into a Pyrex cup just to see how thick it was and it was fairly thick. I added maybe an ounce and a half to 2 oz guesstimating into a 16.9 oz bottle of water that I removed some of the water and shook it up. The solution I created seem very soapy so I decided to give it a try. I dragged my 100 lb short haired bundle of love to the bathtub, sprayed her down and soaped her up. The shampoo has a good smell to it did not seem to bother her. I splashed the soap on her pretty liberally and it lathered up nicely. I did not use the whole 16.9oz bottle of mixture there was a few ounces left over. According to my calculations for the price of taking her to the groomer once I can wash her at home 75 to 80 times. Now I imagine a long-haired dog would use a little bit more soap and a smaller dog would definitely use a lot less so your results will vary. Bottom line this is a very good product and a very good value for the price point.

GREAT MELON SCENT
I love the yummy melon scent of this dog shampoo. I have two super stinky hounds. They love going to doggie daycare and the dog park, so they need baths a lot. This shampoo is excellent. It does a good job of removing dirt, and in the case of my hounds, whitening their hair/fur-they come out looking sparkling! This smells good while bathing them, but I can’t claim the scent is super long lasting, at least not on my dogs.I love that this is a huge quantity of shampoo, since we go through lots of dog shampoo. I won’t have to think about ordering more for a long time.

I have bought gallons of shampoo for my pet salon. Some we hated, some were ok but Rock the Dog Herbal line was top of the list. NOTE Always Dilute. It is a concentrate for a reason. Cleans gently with a fresh scent

Smells great…lathers well…thick not watered down
I use this product in both of my dogs and it works fantastic. You don’t have to use a lot of it to get a good lather and it leaves a nice fresh scent on them. Its nice and thick not watery.Have had no issues with it creating any type of rash or any itching with my dogs. I have a small dog and a large dog and this gallon will probably last me at least 6 mos. Would Definitely recommend this product!
