Winter water
I had actually bought this for my rabbits because they need it in the winter when their water freezes but I gave it to the dogs instead. I tested it to make sure it works so I’m not scrambling when I need it and it works well. It has 3 heat settings and a timer which is great so you won’t forget the warmer on all day long. The best part is that the bowl is removable so it’s easy to clean and refill. Now I have to order another one for the rabbits.

Great Product
Anyone who has a dog or cat should get this for when the weather turns cold. I waited a while to do a review because I wanted to see how it did when the temperature got in the single digits. It worked perfectly – no ice. My dog refuses to drink water inside (even though it’s the same water). I love the idea that I can remove the bowl for cleaning and refilling. Some units do not have a removable bowl and I think this is dangerous. I do not set the timer, I just turn it off when it gets above freezing and turn it back on at night when the temps drop again. I keep it on the deck, so I don’t think the timer is necessary for me. I have had this product for over a month and it is still working perfectly. My dog is not afraid of it, either…she is cautious of all new things. Thanks for a great product. I’m glad I found this on my search on Amazon. Well worth the cost.D.P of Louisville, Ky

Heated water bowl
I really like this water bowl. I keep it on number 1. Works great. Our weather gets pretty cold at night lately as low as 9 degrees Fahrenheit. Level 1 works. Just remember to turn it back on if your power goes out. One night the power went out about midnight so the bowl turned off and water was frozen by the time I checked it around 6am. So it works good when it’s on.

I love that it has three different temps to choose from depending on the temperature outside. I’ve found that using 1 keeps the water from freezing without it being actually warm, because no one enjoys warm water

Manual heat control!?!?
Returned this bowl on the day it arrived. The unit has three heat settings, and you get to select the correct one based on the air temperature. I liked the stainless steel bowl, but was not going to adjust the heat setting as the outside temp changed. I’m looking for an automatic bowl.

Worked better than expected
Now that it’s turned cold outside this is working out perfectly for my dogs and they are ex large and it doesn’t get too hot and keeps their water from freezing. I unplug during the day and plug it in once the sun goes down. Great value for the price

A nice heated animal bowl.
A nice outdoor water bowl for cold temperatures! I like that this is a silicone type material and that it prevents it from sliding around my deck. We have neighborhood cats that I see looking for water during our cold Midwest winters when everything is frozen, and this is a great solution for them. Even the squirrels will be happy.The cord is protected which is great, and the high lip around the bowl itself will keep it from being tipped over by little paws. It has three heat settings depending on how cold your outside temp is, and includes a guide in the instructions. The timer setting is nice in case you’re going to have a freeze overnight but it doesn’t need to be on during the day.My only complaint is that the dish is on the thin side and light- I was hoping for something more sturdy.Overall, a nice find!
