Quick review: soft, durable, soft, water-resistant backing, soft, super lightweight, soft, super easy to rollup and carry, and soft! Buy it!!!Longer review: My bony Italian Greyhound will not sit on a hard surface. I bought this for a solo trip with him to Sedona and received it three days before the trip. To “break it in” before the trip I layered it on top of his Caspar dog bed. The Caspar is a great bed but because it is 100% memory foam it is extremely bulky and heavy so it’s a real pain to travel with it. My dog love-love-loves this mat! The sherpa top is cuddly soft – I would use it for myself if it were bigger. The test was this past week. At a buffet breakfast I laid out this mat in a corner of the room that was fully visible to me and loosely attached his leash to the leg of a sofa. While I was grabbing food and drinks I would look over and he was watching me, completely chill laying on this mat. I also laid the mat on top of his car seat for extra comfort. Italian Greyhounds are one of the most needy, clingy, velcro dogs, and he wishes he could sit in my lap while I drive, which is dangerous, but I give in on very short drives, 10 minutes tops. On a short drive this trip I put him in my lap. He looked at me like “sorry to hurt your feelings” and went to the back seat and got in his car seat with this mat on top! I was pleasantly surprised and shocked. So I attached him to his car seat. The bottom feels like a soft ballistic nylon but looks like your husband’s favorite grey tweed jacket. It’s padded just enough to make rolling it up a breeze. Super luxe-looking, looks much more expensive. I can’t say enough about this mat! I want to buy a second one as backup in case I leave it behind somewhere. The photo is from today – he loves the sun but unless there’s something soft he won’t lay down.

A comfortable to-go bed
This dog bed has been great for our daughter’s service dog. She’s on the go a lot and needs something easy to carry and put down in various locations that is comfortable enough for her dog for longer periods of time, such as cold hard classroom floor or a movie theater. These work very well and are easy to wash and care for.

Large and comfy
I bought this mat for our Alaskan Malamute for part her training. This size fits her 125 pound body perfectly and is comfortable and made very well for her, it rolls up perfectly and comes with a built in handle.

I really like the ease of this for camping, but I wish it had a little bit more padding for the pups.

Very portable dog bed
Initially I was skeptical because it seemed really thin, but as you can see, our dog loved it. This photo was taken right after I unrolled it for the first time. He hopped right on and made himself comfy. Bought it so he could hang in the porch with us or to lie on if we stop at our favorite dog-friendly brewery. It rolls up easily and is very lightweight. Super happy with this purchase.

Great mat for travel or relocating
Well made and easy to fold. Use mine to move from room to room so I don’t bulky dog beds everywhere. My dog see it when I’m moving it and knows to follow. She always looks content when she spreads out on it. No more lying on the hard cold floor.
