Pleasant lemon smell
I use this cat litter deodorizer in the trash bin that holds the used cat litter, and it works very well. We line our small trash bin with trash bags for the litter, but over time, the ammonia smell has penetrated the bin’s plastic. With scrubbing and disinfecting, the smell lingered even when there was no litter in it.These deodorizer packets have a pleasant lemon smell that somewhat dissipates in our case, since the plastic is on top of it. However, the trash can doesn’t have any strong smells anymore. I can see it working well in all litter boxes with a filter compartment, and I would assume the lemon smell may last in those cases longer.
