Nice way to easily sift out the used pine dust
I was very excited to try out this stainless steel sifting litter box for pine pellets. We switched our 3 cats to pine pellets in their litter boxes a year ago, and I prefer using the pellets over regular cat litter. The only I thing I didn’t like was all of the pine dust at the bottom of their boxes. There was no easy way to remove the pine dust from the cat boxes without clearing out the entire litter box, and the pine dust would also get in my cats paws. That is until I started using this nifty sifting litter box. Now I just have to remove the poop from the top and the pine dust and pee falls down through the holes from the top box onto the pee pad and trash bag underneath. I just have to remove the trash bag and I’m done cleaning the lower box out in seconds. I really like that the boxes are stainless steel. It’s much easier to clean the stainless steel over plastic. I do wish this litter box was bigger since I have three cats. It’s a bit small for them. This litter box comes with ten trash bags and pee pads, a cat scoop and rubber pads for the bottom of the litter box. Since I like using this sifting cat box so much better, I need to replace my other litter boxes to this sifting kind.

BEST sifting tray for pine pellets
I use the pine pellet cat litter almost exclusively, and with a lot of trial and error, I have found very few sifting litter boxes that don’t get the pellets caught in the grated part of the sifter.I’m not sure if it’s the stainless steel material itself that makes sifting this box easy, or the holes in the grated tray are just the perfect size, but the pellets stay in the tray and the dust slips right through and nothing gets caught in the tray.As an added plus, there is enough space between the sifting tray and the outer pan it sits inside of to be able to actually hold the disintegrated pine pellets away from the bottom of the sifting tray. Since the pine dust that accumulates doesn’t touch the whole pellets above, the pellets last longer because they’re not in contact with the damp/wet bits that accumulate in the bottom.Just for the sake of reviewing this litter box, I also tried clumping clay litter in this box, and a corn-based clumping litter. All three types of litter worked very well.I really hope I can find this box in a larger size, because I am never going back to plastic litter boxes again.

Great litter box for pine pellets or similarly performing litter
I prefer to use pine litter over granular types of litter as it produces little to no dust and has a pleasant natural smell, but trying to excavate out the soiled pine powder at the bottom of the litter pan can be tedious. This litter box has made that process much easier. After scooping my cat’s boo cookies out all I need to do with this litter pan is lift the sifting pan and give it a little shake and the soiled pine powder falls into the solid bottom pan, which has a bag covering it to catch the discarded litter so it can just simply be pulled out of the litter pan, tied, and thrown in the garbage. This can be a bit wasteful, especially if you are shaking out the soiled litter daily, so I have resorted to dumping the discarded litter from the bag into my litter, genie trash bin and then placing the bag back into the litter pan. This way I’m not throwing out litter pan liner bags on a daily basis. This product also comes with litter pads, but they are too small, barely covering the bottom of the pan. In the future, I may consider getting larger pan liners, which may prove easier to use for my litter disposal methods. This is my first stainless steel litter pan and I will definitely be switching to all stainless steel litter pans soon as they are much easier to clean and don’t take up the smell like the plastic litter boxes too. Overall I highly recommend this sifting litter box for those who use pine or similarly structured litter.

Stainless steel sifting litterbox
I love the stainless steel litter boxes, they are a good investment in long term cat servitude.This box is advertised to be able to hold a few different types of litter however the only one I see it fits is the compressed pine pellets that are often used in shelters and other animal enclosures. I first tried the crystals and they just fall right through.

works very well, but the sides need to be higher. The other thing is that a ridge between the upper and lower tray would be handy and make it easier to separate them.
