This litter box mat removes my anxiety and my cat’s as well
In theory, the Kitty Cure litter box mat can’t miss. In reality, it doesn’t: so far it’s doing exactly what it claims. I can’t believe how something so seemingly simple and basic is already relieving my number one greatest anxiety when it comes to my beloved cat, Elsa: trimming her nails. It’s still early to know for certain, but from every indication this product is living up to its claims nicely.I’ve put the mat in my cat’s litter box and covered it with litter. Elsa visits this place several times a day and, of course, digs and scratches before and after she’s done doing her business. I can see and hear her claws scratching down to the abrasive Kitty Cure mat or pad below the litter. Obviously, while she’s doing all this instinctively, she’s allowing a dulling of her claw tips that translates to a sense of relief for both her and me.As I said earlier, my number one cringe-worthy cat care task is keeping my cat’s claws in check. I’ve always despised trimming them, and Elsa has likewise hated this. What cat doesn’t! The idea of having to do it literally used to depress me. But now I’m already seeing, even in the first days of receiving the Kitty Cure mat, that this product is working as claimed.I’m confident it’s going to eliminate the need to cut my cat’s nails and risk injuring my fur baby. Not to mention making me feel like a villain.I’ll be interested to see how this all plays out over time, but at this juncture I give it two thumbs up (Elsa gives it two paws up!). The best thing about it is that it’s taking away my anxiety and dread over having to trim Elsa’s nails. The Kitty Cure mat lets her file her own nails, and that’s a huge relief for her and me. It deserves a 5-star rating, in my humble opinion.

A total waste of money
The product was impossible to remove from the cardboard it came on. Although the surface of the cardboard was smooth, the adhesive peeled off of the back of the top part and stuck to the cardboard. After unsticking the adhesive and trying again, the top part of the mat also tore making the product unusable. I tried both sides of the large piece and the same thing happened. I am very disappointed since I hoped this was a reliable solution to my cats claws.

Seems to work

Doesn’t Work for Me
It’s a great idea, but I don’t think my cat actually scratches all the way to the bottom of her litter box. I don’t recommend it.

After a week still not sure about it.
Put this in the kittens litter box. It had no adhesive backing so did not stick. After covering with litter it did stay in place. It’s been a week so far and my 2 kittens nails are still sharp as ever. I’ve seen them scratch after every use but maybe it’ll take a little more time to dull their nails.

My order
Great Item but my cat doesn’t even use it

Does not work at all
Sorry guys. This sound like a good idea, but, it does not work to file cats’ nails. The reason why it does not work is that our cats, (and likely all cats) DO NOT EXTEND THEIR CLAWS when they move liter around. They use the paws without extending their claws. So the claws (nails) never come in contact with the file surface and their claws do not get filed. I ended up tossing this out. Useless.
