“Great Water Toy – I bought this because my pooch swallows water when fetching a tennis ball. With this toy, he is able to breath without inhaling water. Great toy, highly reccomend!” – Brett, verified customer

Excellent water toy!!
This has been the best toy to play fetch in the water. My pitt-shepherd mix can destroy toys without even trying, but this thing’s is holding up so well! It does seem to take on a little water over time, but so far it’s still floating and the added weight makes it easier to throw.

Our dogs’ favorite! The yellow is perfect.
We had a pool party for four dogs and this floating toy was the winner in color, size and durability. The 75 pound GSP puppy gave it a work out, but it held up better than any other floating pool toy we had. We’ll just monitor him a little closer with the two new ones we just purchased. So glad we purchased this! Oh yes, it’s a great tug toy!

Great water toy!
We used this for the first time today with our black lab pup, 8onths old. She could see it easily in the water, and had no trouble carrying it back to shore. As for durability, I can’t really review that yet having only used it once. It seems Pretty sturdy and should hold up if only using it for water retrieval.

NOT FOR LARGE DOGS!
I got the toy from Amazon, fast and undamaged, and wanted to immediate play with my German Shepherd dog with it, so I took him to our favorite lake to swim and fetch. The toy, when brand new, feels like it has some sort of air bladder inside of it, I presumed to help make it float. I don’t know if that’s the case, but it felt like that. When we got to the lake, and I was throwing it in the water for him, he was really having a blast. Of course, he would bite the toy while he was swimming back to me (he is a 16 month old 75 lb puppy) with it in his mouth. On one of the trips back, when he bit the toy, I heard a popping sound, like a large bubble wrap popping. I thought that was strange, but kept on playing with him, because it was only 3 water fetches into our play time. The next time he brought the toy back, he chomped it again while swimming back to me, and I heard another popping sound. When I squeezed the toy this time, it felt like it had deflated from when I had first gotten it. Two more throws into the playtime, and the toy became water logged. It was now barely floating above the water and I was afraid it was going to sink, leaving my poor puppy swimming in circles looking for a sunken toy that he could not retrieve. I did not want him to tire and drown due to a $14.00 purchase mistake. To be clear, my dog was never left to chew on the toy, he would chew the toy on his return to me, and give me the toy when he reached shore where I was waiting. The outside of the toy had teeth marks and the stitching on the one end was unraveling and beginning to unravel on the other end as well. So, in summary, the buoyancy of the floating toy, was compromised in 20 minutes of play and the stitching on the ends was unraveling. The toy was so full of water, that I had to wring it out before getting in the truck with it to go home. Every dog is going to chew on ANY toy they are fetching it and bringing it back to you because it is their nature. My puppy basically had the thing rendered useless as a floating toy within 20 minutes.

Sturdy but eventually sink:(
Our water-crazed dog loved this toy but after a few weeks of playing fetch in the water (and putting it away when we weren’t playing with it) it no longer floated, which was disappointing. The second one is having the same issue. We did not allow our dog to tear it up at all, so I’m not sure what happened.

Love at first fetch
Who knew something so simple could entertain my high energy lab pup for so long? I am beyond satisfied with this purchase, and am so glad I did not get the Kong float toy that was originally in my cart. The Bull Fit fetch toy is very well made – fire hose type material, floats, and is easy for us to see in the water. As noted, it is for supervised fetch play, so I cannot attest to chewing and durability in that regard (but that is not what this toy is for anyways). Only semi-con is that it takes some time to dry out, but we just leave it out in the sun for the rest of the day and call it good. Would hands-down purchase again.

Tougher than my dog
There’s been a few reviews from folks with “aggressive chewers” on here. They must own Tasmanian Devils and provide absolutely no supervision of their pets. My terrier (a terrorer) is definitely an aggressive chewer, and I’ve watched him chew, worry, and all kinds of go after this toy until his jaws get so tired he just starts licking it. I don’t leave it in his crate, but we have spent hours playing tug, fetch, hide and seek, etc. until it’s nearly as favorite as his ball. All I’ve had to do is trim the occasional string off the end. I’m really pleased with this item and would order it again, if it ever wears out and they stay in business long enough for that to happen.
