Great protection
Have a little grumpy old mutt with an attitude. These are great protection for when we have to do something he doesn’t like i.e. trimming hair and nails.

Falcons and the errant raccoon no longer invoke trepidation!
Okay so kidding about the falcons because I’m not a falconer but I DO have instances where I’ll trap a racoon, possum, or groundhog, and I’m never thrilled about that moment when I release it from the cage. Now I’m less not-thrilled about it. These are also handy if you ever have to give medicine to a cat!These gloves feel very sturdy and I’m confident using them but the thing I don’t like is that the fingers have almost no dexterity to them. Maybe the stiffness will loosen over time, or maybe they are supposed to be that way to better protect fingers, I don’t know, but for now they cause me to hesitate in using these – and any safety equipment that causes pause in use is clearly not a good thing. I’ll update my review if they get better through time…

Great protection, good leather thickness.
I’m glad to have these gloves, and will be trusting them often to keep me safe. I often have to help remove venomous critters from people’s yards in this neighborhood. Somehow I got the reputation for being the one to c=all to handle various snakes, lizards, poisonous toads, spiders, helping catch little runaway dogs, etc. The long sleeves on these gloves is super protection, and yet the gloves are quite flexible. The only little problem is that the gloves’ fingers are pretty thick. I flexed my hand to see if I could grip and it was all right. These might be styled more for a man’s hand, but I feel that they are serviceable for me. Will be checking out their level of protection from mesquite tree thorns in the spring.
