This new unofficial XXlarge size is the one to get
I’ve got several of these cat wraps. People selling them in large sizes are typically selling ones that are 20-23 inches and in Xlarge sizes are 27-31 inches. This product is 35 inches so that makes it a XXlarge comparatively.Those large sizes are big enough for an average size (around 10 pound) cat if you’re willing to get a very very tight wrap on the cat. Besides that the large is only really good for kittens and small juvenile cats.For most adult cats, even small 5 or 6 pound cats, you want at least the extra large to be able to easily get them wrapped.I can’t imagine what the medium and small sizes could be good for that some people sell except kittens, if even that.Those Xlarge sizes would probably not work for a cat much larger than 12 pounds (our heaviest cat). And even for a more modest sized 8-10 pound cat the extra length of material of this XXlarge size is simply nicer to have. Unless it is for a very small cat this new XXlarge size is now the size I would recommend.All that about the sizes being said, I have to say that this thing works great.I have bought several different types of cat wraps and cat bags and cat restraints, including the hundred dollar comfort wrap and several different types of collars.The $100 comfort wrap, which is by far the best of all the cat bag type of restraints, is great for doing complicated things at a vet like an ultrasound or having the blood pressure taken or blood drawn because once the cat is zippered up in itcit’s got all these little Velcro windows you can open to different parts of the cat’s body.But for just doing daily things like giving oral medication it’s a lot of work getting the cat into that.These wraps are great for restraining the cat in order to do frequent tasks such as daily oral meds because it’s so quick and easy to get on and take off.For one of my cats, I don’t even have to wrap them fully in it. I just wrap it around their head like a poncho with the majority of it in front of them so they can’t raise their front paws to bat at me when I’m giving them their daily meds.

Good room to wrap bigger cats
The first thing the cats did was pull apart the packaging to get that chew toy which they enjoyed immensely. My big boys are remarkably wiggly and a challenge to hold to trim nails but this BAYFUN 35 inch by 35 inch wrap let me get the job done. I was surprised how well this fabric sticks to itself yet is very soft for the cat. He was remarkably calm while I nipped claw tips and I got the impression he might even have felt a bit cozy while I was holding him. I can’t say it was easy and I need a lot more practice but without this wrap I just had no chance of keeping all the moving pieces under any control. I’m glad I found a wrap big enough to comfortably handle my cats.

BAYFUN 27.6″ Cat Grooming Wrap,Self-Adherent Cat Wrap
This “BAYFUN 27.6″ Cat Grooming Wrap,Self-Adherent Cat Wrap” is a nice ‘soft’ wrap to help contain a squirmy fussy cat, when trying to clip their nails or give them medicine, clean their ears, etc..I put this on the floor for them to sniff and become accustomed to, so they are familiar with it. Approaching our ‘rescue’ cats with something they’re not familiar with just causes them to run or become aggressive towards it.We really like the design on the wrap, it’s very ‘cute’ and enjoyable, although our cats don’t really care.The wrap adheres fairly well, although not quite well enough to ‘contain’ our younger cat, if she gets too agitated or worked up, little short of a stainless steel ‘straight jacket’ is sufficient to hold her, until her nails are trimmed, she can shred practically anything.This ‘wrap’ is handy, useful, and actually works well for our cats (mom & daughter rescues), IF they are relatively ‘calm’ and passive to begin with, when I’m ready to use it on them.. Otherwise, I postpone my ‘trimming’ or treatment intentions until they are a bit more passive, since they don’t like being picked up to begin with, and trying to ‘wrap’ them when they’re in that mood, is like wrestling a wild tiger for their dinner.Overall, this wrap works well and for the most part does what its’ designed to do, all depending on your cats acceptance and behavior and their physical strength at the time.

Silent Velcro? Yes. Yes it is.
This is the neatest material! It’s SO grippy, but it is soundless. It’s like silent Velcro. The only trick is getting it flat and un-stuck to get kitty ON it, and burrito it up real fast before 1. Kitty bolts, or 2. Fabric sticks to itself in all the wrong places, in which case, kitty also bolts. The out one of 1&2 are the same. BUT, if you can get it flat, it works like a charm. I got a kick out of the pattern on it, also. And it washes&dries great!

I love these types of towels. This one specifically, is pretty big since it’s meant for wrapping up cats. But I use it for other things, so you can wrap anything in it, and it sticks to itself without being a velcro scratchy, type

This is a blanket
Attempted to secure my cat, who is not a biter but hates being groomed. This blanket is too small for him, and he’s only a year old. His limbs were everywhere. He did not like me trying to clean his nose and started to wiggle, freeing himself in seconds. I thought this would be more like a sack, but it was not. It was just a blanket with a slight rubbery texture on one side.
