Does what it says, but be careful.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:The second item (factory new) has been great. VERY powerful. The diffuser it comes with is nice. Be very careful though as it is is super bright and dangerous if misused. The first one (purchased used) was hard to evaluate since Amazon sent me an empty box. Gonna have to stop buying used stuff from Amazon as half the stuff I get is broken, wrong, or missing stuff.

Very bright be careful how you use it don’t shine in your own eyes you will be blinded for a minute
Very bright, I use it for self defense. Shine in eyes of aggressive person and they stop real quickly.

Excellent quality! Great range, bright laser! Cool affect if you spin the top plastic star cap. Perfect for stargazing, self defense in extreme situations (life or death) shining into cockpits of passing airplanes, blinding neighbors pets and ruining their blinds by cats attacking the laser! Okay okay I’m obviously joking about everything but stargazing lol. Nonetheless, this device does get warm if you have it on longer than 2 minutes with a visible reduction in power. It’s extremely dangerous to direct in eyes and should not be played with by children. It can be seen from the space station as well as planes so be mindful of passing aircraft as it’s a felony to shine at any aircraft. It can blind pilots and/or reduce their visibility to see the runway or their instruments to fly the plane. Very pleased with the direct beam of light that emits from the tip! You can see it go on a far as the eye can see into space.

Buying is a gamble
Followed instructions and fully charged the battery first. Once it charged, I installed the battery aaaannnnnnnd….it doesn’t work. I’m aware faulty products slip through the cracks so the only reason I’m reviewing this is because there’s no customer service. They TELL you to reach out to them if theres any issues, but that page doesn’t exist. I like the error code with the dogs and all, but not when I spent money on an item that doesn’t work.

It is more powerful than most!
I use it to chase feral roosters out of our yard here on Kauai. They really don’t like to have something bright and fast bouncing around them and head for the hills. The cheaper laser pointers work well on cloudy days and early or late. The are not very effective in full daylight. Cue the big one. It is very effective in full daylight. Just this evening (late afternoon) I walked out the front door to flushed on camped across the street (you can do pretty well shining them through windows). I could have done it from the front door but he was behind a bush. When I flushed him out of sight I heard another one about 100 yards away on the other side of the development. I flushed him immediately, as well. Then I beat on my chest and yelled.
