the ticker the fur, the more slow brush are needed
I’ve seen these primarily advertised for cats to avoid bathing them. However, with two 60 lb dogs that are heavy shedders in the Midwest, bathing them can be difficult. I have found that the thicker the fur, the brushing action must be done more slowly, with more strokes, and clearing the fur from the brush often so as not the interfere with the steamer action. But with patience, it does seem to do a decent job as an alternative to a full bath.

Just a brush
This product did not seem to perform any differently than a regular brush. You can see in the photo that yes, it did make the hair cling to it, but only some hair. The amount that fell lose instead of staying stuck to the brush was about the same as any other brush.You also need to be very careful filling it. The silicone cover for the water chamber is difficult. When I first got it open I pulled slightly too hard and the silicone plug came off. It was difficult to get it back in. After I used it I tried to be careful opening it to dry and the silicone cover wound up getting pushed inward instead making it hard to get out again.Overall – it really isn’t worth it. It’s just a brush with an annoying mini water tank
