The cats like it.
I just wish it was built a little heavier.

well built, fabric kind of weak though
you have to put it together, but I don’t mind a project and it came with everything needed. the structure is sound. the fabric where most of these things would have heavy duty carpet won’t last though. I anticipate a future project stapling real upholstry fabric or carpet to it when he wears it out. also love that it double functions as stairs and a sort of cat tree, because my cat is blind in one eye and really misses sitting in my window since I moved somewhere with higher ones– he can’t make that jump in one leap. in the past I’ve used furniture– chair to bookcase to window, ect. this is way more convenient than rearranging the bedroom to accomodate him this time though.

Mechanically sound, cheap knit “carpet”
This is what it says it is, in that it is a set of steps, not a tree. For that it works fine. The top level is about the same height as tables we have around.Installation was easy following the graphics only instructions. One shorter rope tube is longer than the others and that is important for spacing the steps. There were two issues in the process: one of the rope tubes had a staple protruding from the bottom. This caused it to bind in the “carpet” and tear it open. That exposed that this is not actually carpet but rather a fluffy sided knit fabric. I glued the knit down to the particle board, hammered the staple down flush and proceeded from there. The seams in the cloth on the tubes sticks out and feels coarse. I rotated them to be less visible, but it will be interesting to see if our cat avoids them or decides they are good leverage points for claw sharpening. I’ve no doubt he’s strong enough to shred the fabric if he sees fit; time will tell.On the plus side, it didn’t seem to have any off odors that leapt out to me as I assembled it.

Approved!
This is a nice sized cat perch or cat step tree. The cats definitely approved immediately and love using it to look outside and as a scratching post. It is very stable and was easy to put together.

WTAF?
VERY disappointed in this product. The scratcher that I received was NOWHERE close to what the picture showed, the assembly creates a very cramped “box” for an adult cat, and the “carpeting” isn;t even carpet.. it’s like a nylon stretchy piece of fabric.Save your money… build your own

Works well
Very heavy and not so easy to move around. Sturdy well built and easy to assemble. Looks ok and works well for cats and small dogs steps. Good for a kitten and an older cat.

Very easy to put together.
I was able to put this together in about 30 minute son my kitchen table. It is perrrfect for our needs. We have a hefty boy at our house and he has no problem jumping up on this tower and he loves climbing on it. The scratching posts are holding up well. This cat tree is great for larger cats and I don’t have any concern of it toppling over or anything.Well built, easy to assemble and my cat loves it.

Okay steps. Cats can use easily.
The steps were easy to assemble, and are fairly sturdy due to the large base. My cats use these steps with no issues, and it gives them a quick way to access higher areas & windows. The carpeting is okay, but I’m afraid that it won’t hold up over time. The carpeting is loosely applied to the particle board, and the seams are unevenly stitched, so I tried to orient the seams away from anyone’s sight, and in such a way that the cats won’t accidentally rip them open. The scratching posts are good, and the quality is on par with other scratching posts I’ve purchased. Cats will be happy with these steps, but I’ve seen and purchased other items that were of better quality in the past.
