Unboxing Big Feelings: A Little SPOT of Emotion Plush Set Brings Learning to Life
As a master’s student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I’m always on the lookout for creative, engaging tools to help clients explore and understand their emotions. The A Little SPOT of Emotion 8 Plush Toys with Feelings Book Box Set is an absolute gem! This set includes eight plush toys, each representing a different emotion, paired with an accompanying book to explain each feeling. The books are beautifully illustrated, easy to follow, and incredibly relatable for kids. The plush toys themselves are adorable and offer a tactile, interactive way to connect with emotions—a feature that’s been especially helpful for younger clients. What’s even better is that these tools aren’t just for kids! I’ve used this set with adult clients as well, and they’ve found the simple yet profound approach to be a refreshing way to unpack their emotions. Whether it’s identifying feelings like anger, sadness, or happiness, or learning how to manage them, this set provides a fantastic starting point for meaningful conversations.I can’t recommend this enough for parents, teachers, therapists, or anyone working with children (or even adults) who want to better understand and navigate their emotions. It’s playful, practical, and genuinely transformative—a must-have therapeutic tool!

    Great Teaching Tool
I love these products. They provide a variety of sensory availability to work through emotions. The book gives good examples of life conversations and reasoning behind each one. The kids seemed to love having the plush to coincide with the story. Makes it more interactive.

    Helps to recognize feelings
This combo was very useful for a four year old to start putting names to various feelings. We also watched Disney’s Inside Out. Great to play and learn with.

    A wonderful product!
Bought this set for my early childhood education class. I loved using it for my presentation, and my teacher also liked it. This is the perfect set to discuss emotions with your child or take to a preschool class to help children express their emotions.

    Would recommend
Cute set to teach my daughters about emotions and the little characters are the perfect size for their little hands

Super cute. Not what I expected but that’s my fault
I already have the emotion detective book which my 5-year-old LOVES. So when I read the description I thought that I was getting the plushies AND the box set of all the books in the series. I can see my mistake but also I think you could clarify the description though. I think calling this box of things “a box set” and also all the books “a box set” is confusing. Maybe you can have a different name for one or the other? My son loves the plushies and is already talking and smooshing feeling plushies together and saying that the combined sad and anxious spots transformed in the confusing spot plush. It seems he’s got this figured out!I’m excited to incorporate these into learning complex emotions and encourage developing emotional intelligence by having him hold up how he is feeling and talking about how he might also be feeling other feelings at the same time.

    Great product.
Love these!!! My son had issues acting out and didn’t listen when it came to verbal so by giving him something to focus on he really tuned into the story and had fun with the emotion plushes. He carried them around for weeks talking about emotions. Worth the price I think.

Brought for my work as I’m a teacher setting up a new well being base. These books are excellent and gives the children a rhyme/ song to recall when they are feeling in the particular mood and how they can improve it. Colourful and bright images which appeal to the children. I like the push toys that you can purchase as they match the books, the books can be used without them though too.

Es una excelente herramienta para el apoyo emocional de pequeños. Mis alumnos gozaron mucho jugando y leyendo. Recomendable como guía y apoyo socioemocional.

  11. Suzanna

The book is very beautifully illustrated and written, helpful for children to learn to notice and express their emotions. Useful for parents and therapists working with children and young persons.

  12. Suzanne

A GREAT resource for the classroom to assist young people on personifying/understanding emotions.

From the pictures — I was lead to believe that it was 8 books and 8 plush toys — disappointed to find out that it is only 1 book with the 8 plush toys — for that price …. not sure it’s worth it (the price)
