   cute toy!
   I got 2 similar “butterfly” toys for the kitties, and they love both. This is a simpler one but larger than the other one I got for them. As with these toys, the butterfly jiggles the entire time, and goes around in a circle to amuse the kitties, and they’re hooked.It’s simple operation, and turns on/off easily with a quick gentle tap of the foot on the switch.It works fine with NiMH cells (1.2V vs 1.5V alkaleaks), so you can use them and not have to worry about it getting ruined by leaky cells. Plus, they’re rechargeable, so you’re not throwing away cash on disposable cells.

   I wish I could give it 10 stars. Best prey-play sequence ever.
   Be creative with this awesome toy! My cat “killed” it too easily on the floor alone. She needed a longer prey sequence, so I enclosed it in an Amazon box adapted to allow space for the circling butterfly, with cut out windows. I stuck it to the floor when she “hunts”. Now she complains if I turn it offbefore she catches her and kills her prey. Once she “kills” it, I turn it off and give her a treat. Highly recommended!Update 10/10/20: My cat has not gotten bored with this at all. The base is sturdy. We turn it on several times a day, when she crouches outside the box because she is ready to “hunt”. Since purchase we have changed the batteries only 4 times.I bought refill butterflies with the toy, because one reviewer wrote he replaces the butterfly weekly: I don’t need to. The butterfly Is worn and torn, it’s now just a piece of shiny, fluttering plastic. As long as the shiny plastic keeps fluttering erratically on it’s wire, my cat will continue to attack it.She swats and stares at it, several times a day, occasionally batts at it, trying to get it to move. When I catch her at this, I turn it on and she’s back on the hunt, batting, pouncing, holding the wire down, chewing in the butterfly, then letting go so she can have another round.Every couple of days she hold the wire down so long she flattens it at the base and it won’t spin. I remove the butterfly unit, straiten the wire with needle nose pliers, and put it back in place. She follows me and reaches for it as I do this. When I put it back on the unit in spin position, and she returns to attacking, playing with, chewing on and eventually killing (stopping the movement of) her prey.I imagine she will eventually rip up and shred the butterfly so completely it comes off the wire. At that point I will replace the butterfly, but it is so firmly attached to the wire, it won’t be anytime soon.Even more highly recommended than when last posted.

   It’s been keeping my kitty entertained, but the tail shreds easy
   My easily bored cat is really loving this so far, but the problem I’m experiencing is that the little tail bit is shredding very easily. We haven’t even had this a week – it’ll probably rip off soon. Hopefully we can order a replacement tail.

   Great for very active cats!
   I’m so happy I found this toy! My cats need constant stimulation and this is absolutely perfect. It keeps them interested and it’s pretty impossible to ignore it even if they do at the beginning. Just give it time. And walk away.It’s pretty sturdy since they have pull it, dragg it, lifted. The battery lasts long, and I only wish it came with replacements toys since they didn’t last long with the pulling and scratching.It’s very light weight and the charging is fast.I purchased 2 and I very glad with my investment.

   Kinda disappointed
   I recently purchased this cat toy, and while it’s an interesting gadget that my cat loves, it has both strengths and weaknesses. Here are my thoughts:Firstly, this toy is undoubtedly entertaining. My cat goes wild chasing and interacting with it, which keeps her active and engaged. However, I wish it had an auto cutoff timer. This feature would be particularly useful when I’m not at home, ensuring the toy doesn’t run out of battery too quickly and my cat doesn’t get bored if it stops working prematurely.The build quality is another mixed aspect. While the toy doesn’t feel exceptionally sturdy, it seems to be robust enough to withstand my cat’s playful antics. Despite its somewhat flimsy feel, it hasn’t broken yet, which suggests it’s durable enough for its purpose. However, given the price, I expected something with a bit more heft and durability.The motor isn’t very strong, which, in a way, is a positive. A less powerful motor means there’s a reduced risk of the toy accidentally harming my cat. Still, the weak motor can make the toy seem underwhelming and less exciting than expected.Overall, while the toy has some appealing features and my cat enjoys it, I can’t help but feel it’s a bit overpriced for what it offers. The lack of an auto cutoff timer, the less-than-sturdy build, and the weak motor all contribute to a sense of it being a bit lackluster for the price. It’s a cool toy, but it doesn’t quite live up to its cost in terms of quality and functionality.

   Cat approved! She loves it so much and she plays with it even when it’s not on. It is a little loud when it’s on but it’s definitely fun for her and keeps her entertained. It is the perfect size and it’s so cute. I wish they made other replacements like a bird or some other stuff would be awesome!

   le jouet préféré de mon chat , il l’adore , j’ai acheté plusieurs papillons car faut les changer de temps en temps ils finissent par casser , c’est le 2 ème que j’achète , le socle est très solide je le posé au dessu de son arbre il est tombé plusieurs fois et fonctionnait toujours mais la dernière fois il est mal tombé donc ça a cassé a l’interieur rien a voir avec la solidité du jouet , je recommande vraiment ce jouet , très bon article
