    Fun toy
    Seems so fun for cats!

    Recommend for high energy cats
This was a hit with my more energetic cat. The battery lasted a good while. My cats are picky about what they’ll play with, so it was worth the money for me.

    Foster favorite
I foster/volunteer for a local rescue and currently have 9 kittens varying from 6 weeks to 4 months old along with 3 very playful mama kitties. I wanted something fun and less likely to eventually end up lost under the fridge or some other furniture and this seemed like a great alternative. They all absolutely love this toy and play with it non-stop! It isn’t noisy like a lot of other battery powered toys so none of them are scared of it and the butterfly on the end of a wire is genius. The flapping of the wings is what really gets them going! It comes with an extra butterfly, but I have found it to be very durable with all the rough play and haven’t had to worry about changing it yet. I have only three cons and they really aren’t deal breakers:*The wire bends pretty easily with how often they try to carry away their “kill” dragging the base behind them which leads me to the next con..*The base is just not heavy enough to keep it from ending up on its side or upside down (or all the way in another room entirely!) with all the rough play and trying to show off their “kill” once they catch their prey.*This thing eats batteries like they’re going out of style. I will likely buy the USB rechargeable one next time. Overall, I do HIGHLY recommend this toy especially if you have multiple kittens that need some extra stimulation!

I want to love this, but….
Our cat has had a butterfly toy for three years that she loves. The only problem is that it’s either on or off, and so when we saw this motion detector butterfly, we thought we’d try. There are times she walks over to the and is hitting the butterfly and it does not turn on. I go over there and try to get it to turn on and it won’t. Finally, if I lift it up and turn the button off and on and it turns on, but only for a bit and it’s off. We even ordered a replacement and still seems not to work. Then there are evenings the cat is in another room and it’s going off all evening when we walk by, and staying on for hours. It says to face the “eye” in the direction where your cat will approach. Not sure how I can teach my cat to approach from a certain way and don’t want it against the wall. Disappointed.

    Neat!
My boy was nervous at first but now he loves this toy! It’s hilarious watching him chase the butterfly. I love that there is a sensor so it stops when no one is around and starts up again when it senses movement. I like the fact that it uses batteries instead of having to charge it because ain’t nobody got time for that! It is very quiet as well.

My cats go crazy for this toy!
My 2 girls love this! I work a lot and don’t always have time to play, so I turn this on and I know they can play on and off all day since it’s motion sensing. It does make a little bit of a whirring sound when in use, but it’s really not bad! I’ve left the battery on quite a bit and it’s still going strong.

  7. Lauraly

    Cats love, but battery sink
My cat loves it… but it eats up batteries like nothing else. I have to change it every week!

  8. Tisha K. Faulkner Grant

    They love it!
They love it! If it is not turned on they swipe it to tell me to put it on! Love ii!

  9. June Lemieux

I would prefer if this moved a little more slowly. My older cat is afraid of it. My younger one likes to atch it but she won’t touch it unless I turn it off.I would not buy it again.

  10. Sammy Rasha

My kitten who is full of energy loves this toy so much, she has not stopped playing with it, which gives me some respite.Only issue is, I have not worked out yet how it stops when she isn’t playing with it, except to manually turn it off. It has a motion sensor which should mean it only works when it detects motion, but it’s constantly going. I imagine the battery would run out very quickly.Other than that, brilliant toy.

  11. Martin Altmann

Works a charm but sensor is only on one side so unless cat approaches from that side it doesn’t work

  12. Tina Billing

Much better than the original Flutterbug toy. This one turns off after 10 mins and has a motion sensor. My adult cats don’t care for it, but it always attracts my young foster kittens. They regularly play with it, because it’s quiet and the butterfly flutters randomly, so it looks realisitic.

  13. EmA

Literally 30 seconds after turning on the butterfly fell apart. There is no ‘instruction manual’ as advertised but you don’t need one.Had to bend the wires slightly to get it to flutter as was spinning vertically too fast.Very loud and sounds clunky/broken? Not sure if this is normal.Advert says it comes with 3 butterflies but there are only 2.BUT – kitten is OBSESSED – gives me a moment’s peace 😹
