    Working great
This automatic feeder is incredibly convenient! I travel frequently, and my dog struggles with portion control. With this feeder, that problem is perfectly solved, especially with the portion control feature, which helps me better manage my dog’s eating pace. So far, it has been working great!

    Nice Pet Feeder/Sanity-Saver
We have a small dog, and as a family we share in her care. She is just the sweetest dog, though you’d never know it if you came to our house. She’s a five-pound ball of fur and teeth to company. At any rate, two weeks ago, I went to do some laundry, and she was standing by her pee pad, staring at it. She would look at me, then at the poops on her pee pad. Then she’d do it again. I checked, and the poor baby had no food at all in her dish! She was like, momma, do I have to eat my own poop for food?? She doesn’t complain when she’s out of food and/or water. She simply hopes we’ll notice. This was the moment when I decided to invest in an automatic feeder. I have it scheduled so that her food drops every day at 7 am. I’m still pretty new to it, so I haven’t figured out how frequently I should be scheduling her feedings. Thankfully, the included camera enables me to check remotely on how much food she has, and I can add food à la carte when needed.I am happier knowing that my baby will get food whenever she needs it, and I won’t have to worry about anyone calling CPS on me. (Chihuahua Protective Services.)About the camera: I really wasn’t wanting a feeder with a camera. Now that I have it, it’s kind of nice. I like being able to see the bowl and make sure it’s doing its job. I do have my security worries with a pet bowl that comes from China hooked into my WiFi. But I’m not sweating it for now.Speaking of the WiFi, it’s mostly really easy to set up. As soon as you plug it in or install backup batteries, it will be as insistent as a toddler at a candy store for you to get it linked to your WiFi. Mine was able to pair with my WiFi via Bluetooth on my iPhone. The only inconvenience with this was that it didn’t allow me to select my WiFi network; I had to key in the name of my network. This was a pain because mine has a long name and I can never remember if there’s a dash in there or which letters are capitalized.UPDATE: After only using for a few days, it errored out during a feeding, saying that it had gotten stuck. I had to empty all of the food out of the bin, which was a big pain and kind of messy. If you’re relying on this to help you for travel, you need to make sure you have someone who can come and fix it if it gets stuck.

    Good for an automatic feeder
This Volmees automatic cat feeder with the built in camera is a nice auto feeder with some attractive features like utilizing the AJCloud app to setup and control some of the feeder’s functionality. While this does a good job at feeding the cats portion sized amounts, which can be specified in the app how many times this feeds and on a set schedule, this does have other features that just aren’t really practical. One is the laser “teaser”. It is built into the camera which you can control in the app the “up and down” movement of the cam itself, this is rather slow and makes the products “laser tease” feature rather misleading. The graphics indicate that you can use it to move all around and play with your cat, but this really isn’t the case. One consideration is that the laser is right there in the cats face if they come to the food. I choose to leave this funtion alone and not use it.Another concern is the night vision isn’t the best to look at, despite it being invisible to the human eye, it still emits a bright IR light, which works well for night vision. I would opt to leave this off unless I need to monitor remotely the cats bow to see how much is in the bowl. The app is OK ( AJCloud ), which allows for much of the feeder’s functionality to be controlled and setttings set. This feeder offers a decent 4 liter reservoir for your small cat food. So far it hasn’t clogged not have I had any issues. Most of the functionality requires control via the smart app you need to create an account in order to utilize. I don’t know if there is any way to bypass this and just use the feeder as a standalone. You can press a button on the feeder for single serving feedings, but this all works better in the app. One glaring caveat is the fact that this relies on a server somewhere to connect (cloud) like many smart devices. The fact that this has a camera and a microphone leaves the cyber security people a little worried.Setting this up was fairly easy once you create an account. The camera worked well to scan the QR code provided by the app, so setting this up on our WiFi was fairly straight forward. The app itself has many features like motion alerts, feeding scheduling, controling and viewing the camera, intercom, and a feeding log are some of the most used.Overall this is a good feeder for the feeding scheduling and remote use and camera, but I feel if they are adding the other “features” at a at a higher cost premium then you might want to look elsewhere or find something that doesn’t have the features like the laser.

Fun and functional for your cat
This device is a great mix of feeding time and fun for your cat. With the built-in camera, you can check in on your pet from anywhere, and the laser keeps them entertained while you’re not around. The feeding function works smoothly, and it’s easy to set up. If you’re looking for a way to keep your cat engaged and fed at the same time, this is a solid option.

    Amazing!
My cat, Toby, is a preppy. I was unsure how he would react to this laser feeder. At first, it scared him at night, but he got used to it after a few days.I put a sticker of his bae, Kitty White of Hello Kitty fame, on it, and now Toby is like, “Automatic feeder? SLAY!!!!”Your cat will most likely love this as well!

    Great cat feeder
Great auto feeder, toy and video communication device for any cat owner. It is a multi device and works well. Great way to portion control too if your cat has overeating issues. I don’t bother with the ladder as my cat doesn’t seem to care for it. Not sure if this is an age related thing since he is a very old cat… maybe he can’t even see it? He does seem to react to my voice but I’m pretty sure he’s confused by it. Only complaint is that I do wish the feeder was bigger.
