switched back to clay from corn based and cats love it
I am not sure why this has 4.1 rating. I find it excellent. It is much lower dust than previous clay or corn based litter I tried before. My air purifier kicks in at mid range speed and changes color when I pour this litter, so it’s not completely dust free. I have two litter robot boxes and it works best from all brands I’ve tried before in this type of litter boxes. My cats had zero issue with it, and they are not coughing or sneezing after using the litterbox, like with various clay and corn based litters I tried before. It has great odor control, much better than scoopaway complete, Tidycats or Costco brand or Arm and Hammer that I tried or Worldsbest corn litter. The latter was the worst as far as odor control, still fairly dusty to make my cats cough, and they simply hated using the box with corn litter. With Boxiest I practically never change litter out completely, except when I clean the litterbox. I just top off to the fill line of the litter-robot (I have model 2 and 3).

Helps with odor.
Helps with odor, cats seem to like it. Is a bit dusty and does track a little!

A last resort that worked. Really worked.
I was desperate and so was my incredibly anxious rescue kitten, who was freaking out and going anywhere but where I really wanted her to go. This was pricey but, heck, if you know that kind of desperation, the kind borne by weeing and pooping on your carpet, rug, fireplace etc then you are willing to do almost anything. Although I was skeptical, THIS WORKED. She went in it immediately and has not transgressed since and it has now been months. I transitioned her to another Boxi product and then to a “regular” sandy litter and all is well. If you need it, I hope it works for you, too.

Great for litter box retraining! Try it!
First off if you cat is peeing outside the litter box talk to a veterinarian and have a urinalysis done to make sure there are not health issues like UTI or crystals. Second, make sure you have enough litter boxes for the number of cats 1 cat = 2 boxes, 2 cats = 3 boxes,… Third have options – covered and non. Fourth make sure the boxes are not all in the same place and are in quiet spots (not next to the laundry machines). Fifth – clean the boxes at minimum once daily. Twice if you have more than one cat. Lastly – use this litter. It works for helping to retrain cats to the box. We have struggled for years doing all the things and then using this litter BOOM! she stopped peeing outside the boxes. Couldn’t be more impressed and pleased with a product. It sounded like voodoo when I read the description but when you are desperate you try anything. We started off by pouring a layer onto our existing Tidy cat clumping litter because I didn’t want to toss perfectly good litter. So we are slowly transitioning over but that was effective for our cat. This is low dust and no more tracking than other clumping litters.

Love Boxie, but This Did Not Work as Advertised
I love Boxie litter, but this version fell short. I have two litter boxes and used this version in one box to give it a try. My cats were less inclined to use this version of the litter than Boxie Pro. If you’re going to buy Boxie litter, I’d stick with the Pro formula. It’s excellent!

Great but NOT for long or medium hair cats
As a rescue and foster for felines I’m writing this to give feedback on my experience with my 3 personal cats, I still wouldn’t use this for my fosters. My short hair cats have done fine but the long and medium hair have been a challenge. This litter sticks to their backside. This litter also is very dusty, hardens urine to the litter box so it can be tricky to remove the wet litter if cats use the same area to urinate. It just makes a muddy loose mess so you have to “stir” in dry litter to get it to clump. Lastly, this stuff tracks and travels on their feet. I doubt I will purchase this again ever.

Litter-ally my favorite.
The only litter that the cats will go in if there’s even 1 poop in it. Other litter they won’t go in it if it’s been used even once by another cat. This litter contains the smell so great that even my cats can’t smell it 🤣

Not sure if my cats notice any difference???
My cats have used Boxie for years and they love it (so do I) and have tried each of the formulations Boxie has produced. With this product the cats are supposed to see pretty colors, but to us humans it looks about the same as other Boxie products. The one thing I noticed is it’s more dusty when you pour it into the box. I was worried this would be a problem for one of my cats because she sneezes a lot due to allergies but I haven’t noticed a problem. It clumps well just as you would expect from Boxie products and easy to scoop. It controls smells and seems to last at least as long as the original formula. Boxie is more expensive and this is a bit more than other Boxie litters. I’d continue to buy it when it is on sale.

Low tracking and no oudour. Cat stopped pooping out of the litter too🙌🏽

Boxie cat litter is the best cat litter I have used for cats in 60 years!!! There are no odours due to the litter drying up the poop and clumping the urine. It also doesn’t track everywhere. I have tried a few different Boxie types and they are all excellent. I highly recommend this cat litter.

Great littler. Control smells well and clumps great with little tracking. Too expensive!

Seems to work well with my automatic litter box. It doesn’t smell badly, lightweight enough to not be dragged around the house. It’s heavy for me to carry but too lightweight doesn’t work with my older cats. Doesn’t stick to hind legs. Think I’ve finally found the one. I’d say a little pricy but worth it.
