Great beginner puzzle
My pup loves this puzzle. She was about 5 months when we tried the puzzle with her. She was able to figure out the puzzle and it helps her with mental stimulation. The puzzle appears to be made of good guilty material. We only give the puzzle to the puppy when we plan to use the product.

Dogs are so smart!
We have 2 wonderful puppies, at 4 and 5 months. One loves to “solve it”, will slow down and sting, and maybe feels accomplished when using the puzzle. The younger does not go as easily somehow. But will keep encouraging them both!

Great interactive dog puzzle
Great interactive dog puzzle. My dogs love these, I got two, one for each of my two dogs and they get so excited when I pull it out. It’s slightly more challenging than other puzzles they have which is what I was looking for.

Great For My Dog, Might Not Work For Yours, Be Sure To Research
This has been a super fun puzzle for my dog. She is a mixed breed around 50lbs to give you an idea. She has a great temperament and is naturally curious. She also is quite smart and obedient. I say all of this to say that each dog is different and I will point out a few things that might not work for every dog below. This is one of those things that could be hit or miss so make a decision based on your dog’s personality.The puzzle works by having rotating designs that move out of the way to reveal the treat/food inside. It requires the dog to push them in certain ways to move them out of the way of the other piece to then move that one. You can flip some of them open though to simplify it or use them all. It is all one piece and made of plastic type material.I didn’t really read the instructions which recommend starting slowly and introducing them to it. I just put treats in all of the compartments and let her go at it. She slowly started to figure it out after a few minutes and then got the hang of it. She was able to use her nose and paws to rotate open each compartment with some effort to get the treats.The things that might not work for every dog is that it is all one piece so if they are rough it could tear the little pieces off. They do reattach it looks like on the bottom? But I am not sure. The other is if they are chewers. It states if they chew on the toy itself that you should take it away for a second and reset with the command word. It is just plastic so they could chew it up entirely if you aren’t watching them the whole time.For us it has been great. She has done well with it and it helps keep her engaged and interested as a little treat that also has some effort involved. I just would caution if your dog is rough on things or is a chewer.

Snacking at a slow and healthy pace
The Brightkins Kanoodle Dog Edition is a fun toy for small quantities of food or treats. This dog toy is perfect for my medium 30-40lb dogs who need a little extra stimulation for their brain. This toy is not too difficult for a dog to figure out as long as the food items have a desirable smell. It is functional in the sense that it offers the opportunity for my dogs to eat their treats at a slow and healthy pace while also receiving mental stimulation. The puzzle is made of a soft plastic and easy to wipe clean. If your dog is a chewer, they should be supervised while using this toy to prevent them from destroying it. This toy is the perfect size to travel with as well. The Brightkins company also offers a larger version of this puzzle toy, but the food compartments still allow for small pieces of food. I found the Brightkins Kanoodle Dog Edition to be a great value when compared to similar products and I would recommend it.

Happy Pup
Nice for freezing dog enrichments, but we wish the pieces came off, rather than pivoting. It gets a little difficult in some places to clean due to this. Overall though, a great enrichment for our dog!

Guess it depends on your dog…
I had high hopes for this toy, but my lazy little yorkie just wasn’t interested. She scratched at it for a few seconds and just walked away in frustration. She hasn’t pawing at it since. I will unfortunately have to donate it maybe to a more active and food-motivated doggo.
