If you play fetch with your dog, get this. They will love it.
My review is very similar to Greg O’s review.My dogs love the project hive balls.*Favorite to play fetch.*Perfectly sized to fit in their mouths, so they can run around the yard and tease each other. And….amazing to me…. they can catch these balls in their mouths. (My puppies are ~70# each)*Seems very durable, yet pliable. One of my pups is a chewer. No noticeable dents in these balls (after owning for ~ 3-4 months).*Easier for puppies to spot bc it is yellow. (Dogs see yellow and blue colors most vividly).*Unusual geometry (causes an erratic bounce)*Easy to clean with soap and water (or wash in the dishwasher)*Love that it’s made in the USA and that this company gives back to the world to save the bees.* Five stars: Definitely recommend.

My Pitty’s absolute FAVORITE thing in the WORLD!
The attached picture is after 6 months of DAILY use. The price might seem a bit high for a plastic disc, but the joy we get out of them is priceless.We stumbled on them on accident , but have bought numerous discs over the years. He uses them till they are LITERALLY falling apart. He LOVES his disc. He takes it everywhere w/him. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Dogs favorite frisbee
My dog goes through frisbees like there’s no tomorrow. This frisbee is the only one that has stayed in perfect condition for longer than 6 months. We are so excited to try the rest!

My dog destroyed it in about 10 minutes
We have the Hive Frisbee, which we’ve had for several months now. We have two dogs. One actually likes to play frisbee with the frisbee, the other one just likes to chew on the frisbee and try to tear it up. The frisbee is probably the only toy the chewer hasn’t been able to tear up.About a month ago I got the chewer a “stick” toy that she absolutely loved, but tore it up within 30 minutes. When I saw this Hive Fetch Stick, I thought “This would be PERFECT for her! She loves sticks!” I assumed this was probably made out of the same stuff as the frisbee, and that she would have something that she loves (a stick) that she wouldn’t be able to tear up. Yay!Boy, was I WRONG! She had this thing torn up in about 10 minutes. It’s definitely not like the frisbee. This thing was basically $17 down the toilet. I’m sure this would probably be fine if your dog isn’t a heavy chewer – but if your dog is a heavy chewer like mine, forget it. Don’t waste your money!

My GSD LOVES this toy
My GSD Layla loves to play catch, sometimes to the point where it gets annoying. She had a huge shaped toy that was looking worse for wear and they do not make it anymore – but it was her favorite. Rolling the dice, I decided to get her this one. Safe to say, it’s her new favorite and she loved it the minute I gave it to her. The shape is great cause when it hits the ground it flies off in a random direction which gets her even more excited. I’ve already recommended this to others based on how well received it was here.

It floats and dogs love it
This is really cool. It bounces where a dog is not sure where it will go, so it excites them during play more. It is not perfectly round, so my 5 labs can’t project exactly where it will land. It also floats in the pool and is a perfect large dog mouth size. The only draw back is it is not completely dog chew proof, but it is still safe in that it will not come apart in chunks to cause intestinal blockages, but it’s “skuffed up by teeth marks” and not pretty anymore. It’s not an extreem kong, but those don’t float and drive me crazy getting it out of the pool and the dogs don’t like them as much…. So this is nearly perfect.

Best dog ball that I’ve ever purchased
My dog instantly fell in love with the project hive ball and keeps it by his bed (see image). It seems more durable than a lot of dog toys.I think one reason my dog prefers it to other balls is the color. My vet friend said that dogs are color blind to red and green but see yellows and blues more vividly. So if you throw your dog a green tennis ball or wven a red ball, it just blends in with grass, whereas dogs see this yellow color very vividly. I think the makers of these project hive dog toys must have thought about that when they chose the shade of yellow for their dog toys.At the end of the day, this is just a dog ball, but I think the combination of the yellow color, durable material, and geometry (causes an erratic bounce) make it better than any other dog ball that I have tried with my dog! I will definitely buy and try some of their other dog toys.
