Great toy!
I had one for years that I just finally had to replace, it’s my cats favorite toy. We rescued a kitten who was pretty much was raised by our pit bull who taught the cat to play with one of her favorite toys at the time, one of these Carhartt tug toys. Anyways the cat fell in love with the toy and loved to chew on it and scratch it for years, until we pet sitted a large breed 6 month puppy that was teething bad and finally finished the rope of it off and peed all over it. The pad itself was still mostly intact but it just wasn’t the same without the rope so I replaced it. She was a little unsure at first but I rubbed it on my dog (lol) and rubbed a lil catnip and yard grass on it and she fell in love all over again. I don’t know why this is such a great cat/dog toy but it is. Great value, great durability (won’t last long against large breed teething pups though but that’s not what this toy is meant for), pretty thick, nice classic Carhartt khaki color , good size pad for the dog or cat to bite down on, the new rope seems a little less thick than the old one if I remember right though. Simply cut the zip ties, maybe rub it on the pets mom for a familiar smell and go play with them, easy to use.

The puppy loves to teeth on it and the other dogs just want to play with it too. Don’t expect it to last forever, but worth the money.

One of my dogs loves to play with any toys that have a rope attached, he’s been hoarding this one since I gave it to him.I like the outside duck layer. It has held up well to chewing. The compressed felt interior is a little more tricky.My dog loves to pick at things. For example, he likes to take little tiny bites around the edges of the toilet paper. He’s doing the same to this toy, which makes a mess. I realize this is more of an issue with him, but something quite a few dogs do. Maybe fully wrapping the toy in the duck material would make it last longer.

Not for strong chewers
Big and little dogs alike will love it, but it definitely is not a chew toy. Mine were excited to get it and immediately started to chew, making short work of things (pictured was after about 20 min). If your dog isn’t a major chewer, this is a good toy. It has a nice throw and tug feel and I like that it’s not plastic.
