Don’t waste your money
Nothing like described. My kitten couldn’t be bothered with it. He never even was curious about it. Never played with it. Also it doesn’t stretch like the video shows

Who else has a picky cat? I do!
Very fun design, so of course my cat hated it. I loved how easy it was to change the design. Very sturdy cat scratcher. I’m passing it on to another cat, who will hopefully have tons of fun with it.

Cat liked it…. for about an hour
The quality is fairly nice. It’s pretty sturdy, and the magnets work well. It was really easy to “assemble” by putting the ball in the track and putting the magnets together.When I opened it and set it up my cat really liked it and played with it.Now… she couldn’t care very much less. She might play with it for a minute or two if I’m messing with it, once in a while, but no more any other toy.It’s an interesting toy, but unless you are getting it for kittens and they learn it’s their scratching object from the start, you are not going to get them to stop scratching on furniture or objects they’ve already started using for that purpose, No matter what the advertisements claim!

Crazy morphing cardboard cat toy, great if your cat loves fighting!
Quality: A—I have no idea how to describe the morphing, stretching, complicated folded shape of this carboard cat scratcher/ball track toy/cuddler-style bed, it’s truly unlike anything I’ve ever seen. It’s made of standard quality thick cardstock in a sturdy honeycomb cut-and-glued folding pattern that is just over 2 inches thick when disassembled. Each cat head-shaped end has 3 strong, high-quality magnets, and the ends fold out accordion-style and attach firmly together which makes the general roundish structure. This structure can be turned inside out in 3 different ways, and I really don’t know how to describe it better than that, watch the video. (It makes a good fidget toy for people too lol.) A small plastic ball with a jingle bell inside can be placed in a channel of the cardboard where it can be batted around freely but not removed unless the ends are disconnected or the cardboard is too damaged. There is a finger’s width-sized hole in the center of the round shape that can be stretched to accommodate an entire cat or possibly small round cat bed. Package also included bonus hanging rope over-the-door style cat toy with attached feather.Effectiveness: A—My cat, in the most catlike fashion, decided she liked the bonus toy better than the intended one, so good call there! She does like the cardboard toy as well, but because the twisting contorting shape sort of fights back, she prefers to play with it as a wrestling toy, and to use a static carboard panel for her nail care. Luckily the multifunctional design means that your cat will likely find some aspect to love.Value: A—$9.99 price is comparable to rectangular panel-shaped cardboard scratcher, but the product is more dynamic in a way shy cats might not prefer. Inexpensive enough to be worth a try and subsequent shelter donation if rejected.

I thought it was fun
I was initially disappointed by how small the box was, and thought it couldn’t possibly be as big as the product listing had made it look. HA! Joke’s on me, and whoever designed the packaging must have a degree in abstract physics or something because the toy is easily four or five times as big as the box it comes in.It was super easy to put together, except for the fact that at every different configuration, I had to stop and play with it for several minutes. Yes, *I* had to play with it – not the cats! If you’re neurodivergent, this thing is a world of sensory delight.The cats, however, seem a little less than enthused. I’ve tried all the different configurations and they play for a minute or two, then quickly lose interest. I think it may be because the toy slides around on the floor too easily, so they spend more time chasing it around the room than actually being able to play. The ball is also just a tiny bit too large to move loosely in the track; it *moves*, but you have to put some effort into it. I think my cats would respond better to one where the ball moves with just tge tiniest touch, so it’s almost as if it’s moving of its own volition instead of them having to sort of push it along.Still, I keep changing the arrangement every few days, and they’ll get a little bit of play out of it for a while before losing interest. It’s very sturdy and doesn’t seem likely to break down anytime soon, so I think i have plenty of time to figure out alternative options – maybe mounting it on the wall or on a piece of wood to make it less mobile? I also think kittens would probably respond better to it – especially with a good dose of catnip! – than my older cats.And if they continue to show no interest I’ll move it to my desk because I seriously had a BALL with it lol.
