Game Changer for CHONKY Angry Cat
I don’t write reviews too often but I need to say this cat bath bag changed the game. We have a rotund cat who is hard to control and hates baths. I was worried about the size of the bag, but it worked perfectly even though my cat is near 20 lbs. This bag kept all his limbs contained inside and allowed me to wash him without wrestling him or being scratched or bit. I was also worried about him clawing out of the bag because his nails are super sharp and long, but he was unable to. He is clean and I am without wounds. Love this product.

Pleasantly Surprised
My cat contracted FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). The disease was almost always fatal, but a treatment recently became available in US. It requires a course of treatment that is 84 days long. I needed a solution to restrain the cat because he did not like the medication at all despite the fact that it is “tuna” flavored. Initially, it took two people, a pair of leather gloves and a blanket to get the medicine in him leaving all three of us traumatized every time. After much research I decided on the Catcan Bathing Bag. I was skeptical at first, and it took a little practice to get the cat into the bag. He has finally gotten used to being medicated daily, and he no longer fights or resists taking the medication as long as I put him in the bag. If I try to give it to him without putting him in the bag, he tries to escape. I really had my doubts about this product, but now I’m completely sold on it. It works really well at completely restraining the cat. It seems to be well made as I’ve been using it daily for almost two months now. My cat has responded well to the treatment and growing up to be a beautiful cat and a terrific companion. The bag has drawn string openings for the paws as well if you need to trim your cats claws (but only take out one paw at a time). I highly recommend this product to every cat owner. P.S. Avoid using this restraint in front of other cats. The long drawstrings thrashing about as you get your cat inside the bag attract other cats like crazy, and you’ll have a mob on your hands.

Too Difficult!
It looks easier than it actually is. My cat enjoys playing with and chewing on it. But pulling onto him? Naw.. I finally just held him in the sink and bathed him. Good size, good price. Just doesn’t work for me!

Needs improvement but helps
Four stars because it enabled a 70 something to bathe an unwilling participant alone. The issues are:1. No rear closure. The south end of kitty is not captured in the sack. It needs a drawstring.2. Sack is too small for average cats. It needs at least 4-6” of additional length.3. Drawstring closures are worthless. The slide too easily after being clamped. You MUST tie the drawstrings to securely close.Seams need to be reinforced with fabric tape when sewn; I had lots of poorly sewn seams. Compared to my wife’s delicates bag, her bag is better constructed from identical material. All of this said, I made it work. It saved me a $100+ grooming bill. Kitty is still pretty ticked off, however.Sturdiness needs improvement. Easy enough to get the cat in. Very difficult to keep them in the sack. It works marginally well. Again, for $12, I saved a trip to and the vets bill.

Doesn’t work on scaredy cats.
We gave this a try a few times. It was a disaster every time.Used on a 12 lb cat.The first time, we thought we cinched it well enough, but the cat backed out of it. The fastener doesn’t stay on. They slipped off. I did think about knotting the ties behind the fasteners, but it felt a bit dangerous. We might have needed the entire length of the ties to widen the holes enough. The second time, we made knots once it was cinched just tight enough that the cat wouldn’t get out. But, somehow, with all the kicking and wriggling, the cat managed to loosen the knots. You might think we’re bad at tying knots, but I didn’t think the cat would be Houdini. The third time actually took several tries. He kept getting loose before we could get it on. Once we had it on, it was impossible to get one paw out without him trying to slip completely out of whichever hole we loosened. Did I mention that we’re both all scratched up?It was a disaster because we watched him flail and try to injure himself. He couldn’t walk, but he launched himself forward two feet at a time in that bag.Tightening it wasn’t of any use, either, as it just made him wriggle harder. I’m glad we tested it out of the water, because he would have drowned himself if I hadn’t tried without the water. I ended up having to hold him up off the floor of the bath while my daughter poured soapy water over his body. That was almost impossible as he still had room to kick, scratch and twist. If it wasn’t a necessary task, we would have let him out right away. But, the job had to get done. We will never use it again, though. I wouldn’t use this on a scaredy cat and I wouldn’t think it’s necessary for an already easy-going cat.

Works great!
He’s okay lol just madIt fit him perfect, he tried hard to get out but he couldn’t. I suggest making it tight, it doesn’t hurt the baby, that way it works right. I was able to bathe him without getting hurt thank you so much

Doesn’t Work
I got this so I could easily give my cat a bath. This thing does not work. My cat escaped it three times. The only way to make sure your cat doesn’t escape is to tie knots after the plastic adjustable things on the string and I didn’t feel comfortable doing that because then if something were to go wrong it would be hard to get your cat out. My cat couldn’t claw its way through the fabric of the bag. I also couldn’t figure out how to use this bag and put shampoo on my cat and easily scrub my cat, it just doesn’t work. I wouldn’t recommend this product.

Well made! Exactly as the photo, easy to use. Getting the cat in may be difficult for some, so 2 people may be necessary.Tried it on each of our 3 cats. One larger, one medium, and a 5 month old kitten. Worked equally well on all 3. The large one tends to bite and scratch, so she was the one we were needing this for the most. Perfect!!

I am so happy with this product! I have a cat with severe skin allergies! He was a TNR cat so bathing hime would have cost me mega deep scratches and bites. He does not like to be touched.First, the mesh bag was so easy to put on him. Second the tightening straps were easy to use! The neck mesh did not allow the legs to come out and scratch me.I used my kitchen sink as it has a sprayer. I didnt fill the sink up of water but rather just gently sprayed him. I used my shampoo and I hinestly had doubts this would work due to the mesh but it worked wonderfully! He did not scream or try to run away.Best of all I was able to take the mesh bag off slowly so that I could towel him down little bit by little bit. So there was nno drama and I couldnt be more grateful.Thank you so much for this product. I honestly don’t know why there is negative comments because for me, this was awesome! There was no huge mess to clean up and no drama!I would definitely but again!

It’s a good bathing bag for cats as they do not try to escape or scratch you accidentally, but material is not that good ..it got ripped off in 1 use
