This thing is just an indented ball of soft, like a plush bean bag only for cats.So far the cat really likes it, and our smallest dog, who is twice the cat’s size at about 18lbs and is also a bit crazy, loves it too–as a pillow. Both are almost unfailingly camera-shy, will update if i get photos in time, but I’ve caught both of them on it repeatedly and they seem to thoroughly enjoy this little bed. Enough so that part of me thinks a human-sized one would be awesome (it wouldn’t, I am sure it would wreck my back, but its a little furry cloud for the pets, so it certainly looks inviting)….I am seriously considering buying a larger size for the little crazy dog, despite her already having a couple beds around the house. As an added plus, the bed has little sticky-nubs on the bottom, which can be nice for folks with tile or hardwood–ours is currently on carpet so it doesn’t matter as much, but it is still a nice touch.Clearly cat-approved, and dogs, too.

Comfy for small dog
I chose this cat/dog bed (24″ size, silver gray) as a bed away from home for a small dog (a Havapoo who likes to snuggle at my feet while I work) that I dogsit in my home on a fairly regular basis. When I received, it was vacuum-wrapped, so it needed to sit out for a couple of hours to expand back to its original puffiness. I popped the bed (actually two pieces – an outer stuffed ring and an inner round pillow that sits inside the ring, but it is sewn in) under my desk and my fur buddy settled into it as soon as I showed it to him. The bed is very lightweight, but it accommodates his weight nicely, giving him some cushioning from the floor. The furry consistency of the cover is nice, and the bottom side is a black fabric with some no slip dots on the floor side so the bed doesn’t slide around on hard floors. This bed does not have the heavy padding on the base and sides that some of the more expensive lumbar memory foam beds for larger dogs have, but there is plenty of cushioning for the little guy I am using it with. Would also be great for a couple of cats.
