The screws were too big for small hammock dowel.
Putting the project together was good until putting the screws into the dowel of the smaller hammock. The screws were way too big. Went to Lowe’s to find something that would work and purchased screws still too big … I’ll head back tomorrow. Otherwise the quality is very good. Because of the screw issue I’m giving 3 stars… sorry!

Awesome Cat Hammock – easy to put together too!
This is absolutely so much fun for my cats! Easy to put together, well designed and is actually lightweight so its very easy to move from room to room. I wish the hammock was a bit more stable but not that big of a deal because all you need to add a zip tie to it to hold it in place. Problem solved. As soon as I put it together my cats were all over it. Heavier bigger cats will have a hard time getting and staying on the top hammock since it is smaller than the bottom but perfect for smaller cats and kittens. My one cat is crazy and daring and has no fear so he loves the hammock part of this. Since this is well designed, you don’t have to worry about it toppling over. Great entertainment for the cats!

Not Safe
This double bed/swing is really cute, nice wood, great size. However the swing needs a re-design. No matter how you tie the rope (which is a bit too short) the swing flies full circle when my cats tried to jump on, and especially off of it. This scared the ones trying to access it and hurt another cat that got hit in the head as the solid wood frame swung down on him. I had to immediately take the swing off, as my daughter said: “It’s like a cruel practical joke, they think they can jump up there but they can’t.”I reached out to the company to ask if they had 2 more of the longer wood pieces, thinking I could alter it into a bunk bed of sorts. I didn’t want to give up on it because they do love the oversized lower bed. The company did get right back to me, but they don’t sell additional parts.So… as you can see in the photos, I used ribbon to secure the swing to the sides, and I had to knot the rope on the frame to keep it from shifting. They do like it, and I like the size- that is a 13.5 pound cat on the lower bed. However had I known it wasn’t going to work as intended, I would not have bought it in the first place at this price point. It needs 2 poles at the top for a safe swing that won’t go spinning like a bad cartoon.

This might be the worst purchase I’ve ever made. Every single screw hole was stripped. This product was impossible to assemble.
