Biodegradable pet poop bags – sturdy, flat bottom, do not leak
This package contains 100 biodegradable animal poop bags. They are laid in a stack, then folded into the box. They are not in a roll and do not have to be separated. The bags are small and sturdy. They feel a bit like nitrile gloves. The 3 bags I tested did not leak. As vendor pics show, printing on one side proudly declares they are POOP BAGS.The bags have a flat bottom with a gusset. Pic shows newspaper masthead under one unprinted layer of the trash bag. The other pic shows the masthead under one unprinted layer and one printed layer. Are they truly biodegradable? I might know in a year.UPDATE: these bags are an exact fit for our new Brogrund trash can from Ikea.Rating: very goodMy scale: 5 star = excellent (or has a special feature), 4 star = good/ very good (does what it should), 3 star = average (or has a minor flaw), 2 star = below average (multiple flaws or does not perform its function well), 1 star = avoid (does not fulfill its mission). I rarely use the term ‘perfect’ and I rarely assign 5 stars.

wide opening, sturdy design
I recently started using the Cat Litter Bags, and I have to say, I am really impressed with how convenient and useful they are! These bags have made cleaning up after my cat so much easier and more eco-friendly. If you’re a cat owner like me, you know that dealing with litter box cleanup is part of the daily routine. But these bags have really helped make everything easier. One of the best features of these bags is that they are compostable! They’re made from corn starch, which makes them great for the environment. It’s nice to know that I can help reduce plastic waste and support recycling just by cleaning up after my cat. Plus, they’re biodegradable, so they break down naturally, which is much better than regular plastic bags that can take forever to decompose.Another reason I love these bags is that they have a wide opening, which makes it super easy to scoop. The size of the bags is 11.8 x 15.8 inches, which is perfect for fitting most litter scoops. The wide opening helps me avoid making a mess, and I don’t have to worry about getting my hands dirty, which is such a big relief! It’s definitely one of the features that make the cleanup process much more comfortable and quick. The handles on these bags are another fantastic feature. They’re about 4.8 inches long, so they’re just the right length to tie the bag securely once it’s filled. This makes it super easy to carry and dispose of the waste. I don’t have to worry about the bag breaking or the contents spilling out. Once it’s tied, the bag is sturdy and stays sealed, so there’s no mess or smell getting out. The bags are also leak-proof, so I never have to worry about any accidents happening while I’m carrying them to the trash.

Effortless waste disposal
I’ve been using these cat litter bags daily, and they’ve made a big difference in keeping my home clean and fresh. The wide opening is incredibly practical, it aligns perfectly with my litter scoop, so I don’t have to struggle with waste spilling over. The handles are a thoughtful touch, making it easy to tie the bag securely and carry it out without worrying about any mess. What I like most is how sturdy these bags are. I’ve had no issues with leaks, even when the bag is on the fuller side, and the odor control works surprisingly well for an unscented bag. The fact that they’re compostable is a huge bonus, as it feels good to know I’m reducing plastic waste while taking care of my cat. I’ve even repurposed a few for small kitchen scraps, and they hold up great. These are practical and reliable, making cleanup a much smoother part of my day.

Good bags and the handles make them really easy to tie.
These are great cat poop bags and I love that they have a handle. I often find the ones without handles are so much more difficult to tie, especially if you have a lot of litter in them. The only thing I don’t care for with these is that they are flat packed, making them a little difficult for someone with arthritis to pull them out individually. Since these are intended for cats, though, there seems to be no reason to roll them, as they would be kept near the litterbox anyway.

An eco-friendly, hassle-free way to clean up after your cat.
These cat litter bags have made cleanup so much easier! I love that they’re compostable and made from corn starch, so I feel better about not adding more plastic waste. They’re a good size—big enough to scoop up everything without any mess, and the wide opening fits my litter scoop perfectly. The handles are super handy for tying them up and carrying them out without any spills. Once it’s tied, the smell is pretty much sealed in, which is amazing because no one wants to deal with lingering odors. The bags are thick and sturdy, so I don’t worry about leaks, even if it’s a heavier load.

Way too small to scoop litter into
Way too small. Too hard to scoop litter into the bags. Opening is just slightly bigger than a litter scoop.

I ordered these bags to make cleaning 3 XL litter boxes a little less cumbersome. The bags feel very similar to our compostable kitchen organic waste bags. I’m assuming that particular feel is the compostable feature. It’s an environmentally friendly feature, though they’re still headed for the landfill. Our municipality does not permit biological waste in our compostable organic waste collection. These bags are a large capacity, able to waistband the weight of the litter well. The handles are a definite convenience that set them apart.Overall, I’m very pleased with the performance of these bags. The price at the time of ordering was $29.99 for 100 bags. That is very expensive. The convenient handles don’t justify the added expense. Kitchen compostable bags would be a more cost effective alternative.

Really nice product. I tried one the first time when everyone was sick in the house so the litter was clearly overdue. It held so much and did not rip when transporting!! Handles are super sturdy and they knot well. The bags are cute (it’s not important for their purpose but it’s an added bonus). The bag did not stay long in the house but it seemed to hide the smell while it was. Also, the bag stayed on the house porch for a whole night at -20°C and the bag was in perfect shape when I threw it out the next morning. The price might seem steep but if you change the little every 2 days, it will last you almost 2/3 of a year.

These poop bags are a convenient and eco-friendly option for managing cat waste. Can also be used for dogs too. These are small bags for picking up when they go right away. Being compostable is a big plus, as it makes them an environmentally conscious choice. The easy-tie handles make disposal quick and mess-free, which is super helpful during clean-up. The bags are unscented but do a decent job of sealing odors, making them suitable for daily use. They’re also leakproof, providing peace of mind when handling used litter or waste. Overall, a practical and sustainable solution for cat owners looking to simplify clean-up while being mindful of the environment.

While there are absolutely much cheaper options for poop bags out there, I do have to say that the performance on these are perfect. They do a great job at blocking odours, and are a great size for use by my litterbox. The bags are thick enough to hold a fully filled clumping litter load, and unlike a lot of compostable bags, they don’t feel too fragile to handle. The long handles also make it easy to use and tie up, ensuring a good and tight knot can be done. The side gussets also make this bag larger than it looks, as cheaper bags might be a more simple sealed tubular shape. What is extra nice is the fact that these are TUV certified to be biodegradable. This does not mean that in your city you can put your cat litter in the compost (as far as I know, only some cities recommend this; mine says to put in the trash) but at least the plastic impact is a little lessened compared to non-biodegradable bags. If you were to use this for kitchen wastes, just be sure that your city does in fact take these types of biodegradable bags in compost, although I think these are a bit expensive for that. Kitchen biodegradable compost bags are far cheaper than these, but these do have the benefit of easier carry whether it is for cat litter or picking up after your dog.Overall, a bit expensive but they are great bags.
