This is one of the best purchases I could have made! I no longer have to constantly sweep around the litterbox, this mat catches it all! It’s open at one end for you to easily dump the sand that it catches and can be hosed off if necessary. Sure makes walking barefoot past the litterbox a lot more pleasant!

I can’t believe I didn’t get this sooner… extremely absorbent and a necessity for cat owners
Our cat litter box is located in an unused closet within our office space. While this location is secluded and far from many other parts of the house, we would always find litter on the vinyl flooring around our place–sometimes, very far from the litter box. The litter box is located in a carpeted area and we were previously using a rubber mat to prevent cat litter from burying itself deep in the carpet. Long story short, the rubber mat we were using was clearly ineffective, so we turned elsewhere to this honeycomb-style mat.I cannot recommend this mat enough. The honeycomb style and dual-layered nature of the mat allows for collection of fine cat litter that would otherwise be tracked around the house by our cat. There are two layers to the mat– one is the honeycomb layer and the other is a standard flat layer. This allows the litter is be collected in the recessed “combs” and not be further flicked around the room by the cat. Once the mat is filled, we are able to fold it into a “V” shape and dump the litter back into the cat’s litter box, allowing us to reuse litter that would have been previously sucked up by a vacuum.This mat is highly absorbent and catches more litter than our previous rubber mat did; I would estimate that the mess in our closet has been reduced by 75% or more. We will now need to vacuum the closet once every two weeks, rather than the twice weekly amount that we were doing in the past. I would highly recommend this mat for any cat owner who struggles with a messy, litter-tracking feline friend.

I did a lot of research and this was the most highly suggested litter mat, but it’s not as big as it seems like it should be. I think it is up to the measurements, although I haven’t measured them, but it just doesn’t seem like it’s as big as it claims. It won’t do a lot of good if it doesn’t even fit where I want it to. I also don’t think he cats would like stepping on it very much considering even just having it on the floor they would make a wide distance around it instead of walking over it.

Changed my mind after a week – it’s GREAT!
When I got it, it was folded and lightweight. It felt cheap. Instructions ask you to just lay it flat and wait a few days for creases to go away (instead of returning it for being creased and cheap). So I did, and it works AMAZINGLY now. Being lightweight is a blessing – picking it up and dumping the litter back in the box is so easy. The creases went away. It’s strong enough that people have to step on it to reach the toilet, and it’s held up. And most importantly, I don’t get tracked litter into the dining room anymore!

Perfect For Catching Litter: Easy Clean
Sometimes my cats try to avoid stepping on the mat when coming out of box so I had to put some guiding rails to make them walk over it. My cats puked on it & it is waterproof but must be washed out with bathroom shower spray head & dried to remove any ‘gunk.’

Thought I was buying a larger mat. Oh well. Don’t believe any cat litter that says it’s trackless because we wouldn’t be buying things like these. IF my cat walks out the front of the litter box it works great. Since he usually jumps out the side . . . that’s why we have brooms and vacuums. Easy to empty tracked litter back into the box or trash.

I was expecting an actual good mat not cheap foam material
