Great for cats that like to scratch and paw around
My cats are weird at times, they like to do scratching, digging and and pawing motions on the ground before and after they use the litter box. I had been meaning to get a trapping litter mat for them but read that most mats are actually made of EVA foam. That’s basically the same material as yoga mats, workshop floors and costume armor, so cats can easily destroy those with their teeth and claws.So here comes this silicone trapping litter mat and I’ve never been happier with the litter box and my cats’ behavior. Not only does this mat resist their claws, but it traps the tofu-based cat litter that I use very well. Sometimes I’ll glance at the mat and not see any tofu bits, but when I lift the mat for cleaning I see all of the tofu bits have all been caught. It obviously doesn’t catch ALL pieces but it’s drastically cut down the amount of litter that ends up outside of my litter enclosure/cabinet. I’ve also cleaned a few urine accidents from this mat, to great results. Because silicone isn’t porous like EVA foam, the urine doesn’t get absorbed. There is also depth to this mat, so the urine is contained and less likely to run off the edge. The two-part design of the mat makes it easy to clean and dry everything.My only downside for this mat is that it doesn’t come in a variety of sizes. This one sits in front of the litter mat so my cats walk on it, but I’d love a slightly larger one that can cover the entirety of the my litter box enclosure/cabinet so that it can catch flying pieces.

No Exaggeration, Simply the Best Litter Mat
I’ve tried a few litter mats, like those overpriced ones you can get at Petsmart/Petco. I can’t believe those stores don’t sell these, they outperform the ones they have there 100x over and these are half the price! The silicone is the perfect material for litter. It slips right through the grate top layer and stays in the bottom layer. I just remove the first layer and shake it out every 3-4 cleanings and it stays brand new looking. I always hated those other mats that are supposed to trap the litter, but then trying to get it out is an absolute mess. The silicone double layer is waaay easier. Once a month I wipe it down with some all purpose cleaner, but it honestly doesn’t even need that usually. The only time there’s a significant amount of litter on my floor now is when I’m refilling the box and spill some. I have hard wood floors and can feel every piece of litter, so I can promise this mat functions amazingly well. Also, the size is perfect! A lot of mats are way too small, this one is a great length and width.

works great for easy clean up of messes
I am using this under our litterbox to help keep my floor clean. I’ve had issues with my cat somehow getting tinkle outside of the box on occasion even with high sides and with this mat I have an easy way to clean it up. It’s good quality material and easy to clean so I am satisfied.

The liter mat that actually works!
Finally found the perfect one! It fits at the opening (aka not ginormous), the top layer can be pulled off from the bottom from any side of the mat, it’s deep enough to actually catch litter, it’s washable, and is soft to the touch – love this mat!
