This is a small (24″ x 15″) cat litter mat meant to trap both kitty litter grit and anything else that might evade the cat litter box. The honeycomb grid design traps the kitty litter which might get tracked out or kicked out of the litter box. The solid plastic (rubber-like) mat underneath the honeycomb lid is meant to hold anything that escapes the litter box.That includes urine. My 15+ year-old cat sometimes has such accidents. She intends to urinate in the box (I think) but for some reason she misses – she has been backing up to the very edge when this happens. The Hailoly litter mat is designed to catch such an accident and to keep the urine trapped on the mat. It just so happened that within 24 hours of deploying this Hailoly mat she had a urine accident.The urine was held by the mat and was trapped onto the mat just as designed. I was able to remove the litter box and then very carefully carry the mat outside where I was able to wash down the mat. The mat did its’ job successfully. Works for me.

Keeps the litter area cleaner!
Catches a lot of litter and super easy to clean. Still relies on my cat to actually step on it to work, though she insists on leaping out of her box like a kangaroo ignoring the mat entirelyStill, that’s not the mat’s fault and it does catch what it can.

Love this mat
This is such a cute litter mat. I have owned this type in the past and always love it but now it comes in colors and I’m obsessed with the green it adds some color to the litter box area. This mat catches quite a bit of litter my only concern is my one kitty likes to poop outside the box and I’m hoping it doesn’t get trapped in the holes since they’re larger. All in all good quality and very cute!
