I have a severely obese and irritable long haired cat that hates being groomed or handled beyond petting. She has bitten me in the past. Thanks to this kit, I was able to give her a shave and trim her nails without fear. She is too fat to groom herself, and refuses to exercise, so I have to shave her and bathe her regularly for her health. This product has made a difficult job much less scary.The fit looks too small at first, but wound up being just right.The velcro is durable and high quality, but works a little too well, as it picked up some loose fur.Stays put once properly applied.Cats can breathe easily, no safety concerns when used correctly.

Do you have a spicy cat in your life that likes to use his murder mittens for evil? Does the cat that you adore bite you every time you try to clip its nails or give it a bath? Look no further, because cosmonaut kitty is here to help you with all your woes. This little astronaut/hamster ball headpiece will help your grooming sessions be mostly painless, at least for you. I trained my kitty with treats so he thought he got used to the hamster ball and now after three grooming sessions, he doesn’t try to fight it. I have used the silicone claw disarmers and they are easy enough to get on but my cat doesn’t like them. I felt that the ball fit well on my rather large tabby and is easily adjustable and doesn’t have any choke or pinch points. You will not regret protecting yourself and you will have so much fun laughing at your little Cosmo kitty.

Do not trust the booties!
This worked to keep me from getting bitten, but the booties kept coming off no matter how tight you put them. This caused my cat to try to slap the helmet off and get her claws stuck in the breathing holes and panic, leading to injuries to her nails.

Pretty good for what it’s worth. The helmet was a bit smaller than expected so I would buy a larger size. The boots worked well for the most part and only one came off during bath time. Definitely worth the price given the safety features.

Makes Nail Clipping So Much Easier and Stress Free for my Cat and Me!
This worked phenomenally! My cat is so fierce when trying to clip her nails , but with the helmet and boots on, she only squirmed around for a little bit before she finally resigned herself to her nail clipping!I was a little worried that the helmet would be too small, but with the velcro strap, it’s very easy to adjust to make sure they’re comfortable.With the boots, I had to tighten those a little because she was able to kick them off, but once I secured them better, it was smooth sailing from there. It was very easy to put on and they widen enough to fit any paw size.I will definitely keep these on hand for her!

It snapped on the first day of use
I washed/defleaed 6 cats using this, all in the same day. After I was done with cat #6, we opened the helmet to remove from kitty’s head and the hinge just snapped apart. We did nothing differently from the previous 5 times of removing it…but it just seems like repeated use wore on some defection in the plastic area of the hinge and that was it. I’m past my return date now, so sadly, I am stuck with this broken product now. I don’t recommend buying this if you’re wishing to using it multiple times. It’s just not worth the price tag for it to break so easily. Really bummed out. Overall? It did what we wanted, which was protect us from bites and scratches, but I just wish it had lasted me for at least a year instead of a single day. 🥺

Size small for cats over 15 lb; worked nicely
Size Small for over 15 lb cats 🐈 🐈⬛ worked. I am using my husband’s account. We used today; two cats, both over 15 lb. One cat, she is more resisting, was able to take of shoes during bath 🛀 in a laundry deep sink; when took of helmet, she bit my husband. Second cat, I expected her more fighting; however, in a helmet 🪖 on and in shoes, she just was not that resistant more calm than the first one. Both, of course, were slightly terrifying but ok. Then used pet grooming fan to blow off water (covered head with towel and pinned to the surface, two people needed), Overall success;,highly recommend.

Making trimming nails easy
Use it when trimming my cats nails and shaving the pads of their feet. They don’t bite but the lick the wads of fur
